Went in peak lunch hours on a weekday, luckily the queue wasn’t long, only waited around 15 minutes for a table.
We got their signature okonomiyaki with every toppings and a yakisoba. The taste is absolutely delicious for us tourists trying it for the first time. We absolutely enjoyed looking at the okonomiyaki being cooked in front of our own eyes.
However, after staying a few days around Osaka & Kyoto, you might realise that all okonomiyaki shops are pretty much delicious in their own way. This shop stands out as the more expensive ones, since its in a tourist area. If you’re first time here in Osaka, don’t be too fixated on which store has the best okonomiyaki, cuz all of them are great! Just find one that’s more towards your budget and you’ll have a good time.

I arrived about 10–15 minutes before opening and there were already a few groups waiting in line. The staff took our orders even before the restaurant opened, which was really efficient. Once inside, we were seated right away and the staff cooked the okonomiyaki directly at the table — no need to do it yourself. It was served piping hot straight from the grill, and the flavor was amazing! Eating it fresh and sizzling made it even better. Definitely worth the wait and a must-try if you’re in the area.

Great experience. They cook the okonomiyaki right in front of you. Added on the yakisoba and the oyster pancake. All were delicious. Went around 2pm and still had a long queue. Everyone had to order something – sides are considered.

Wait was 95 minutes despite 60 min wait time sign. Food was underwhelming and small portions compared to other Okonomiyaki places in Osaka and Hiroshima. Food and service didn’t seem to reflect 2016 & 2017 Michelin recommendations. Would not recommend and go again.

Namba Okonomiyaki Ajinoya Honten in Osaka is incredible. I had the best okonomiyaki of my life—perfectly cooked and flavorful. Great value for money, with a lively, authentic izakaya atmosphere that makes every bite even more enjoyable.

I bought the fast pass and honestly it was pointless. They let me in at the exact same time as the people who didn’t buy it, so the couple behind me basically got in with me for free. The staff were rude and impatient, which is wild because this is the first time I’ve ever said that about a restaurant in Japan. The counter was empty and it still felt like they were purposely not letting me in. The menu says you can build your own okonomiyaki, but the guy told me I can only pick two toppings. At that point I was already annoyed. If I hadn’t paid for the fast pass and waited in line, I would have walked out.
The okonomiyaki itself was nothing special. I’ve had way better at Sazare さざれ in Osaka. Also, they only take cash, so keep that in mind.
Overall, terrible experience. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The okonomiyaki was delicious, especially the scallops — fresh and flavorful. The onion beef tendon dish was a standout, very special and absolutely delicious. Personally, I found the yakisoba a little too sweet for my taste, but overall, every dish was well-prepared and tasted great.

Okonomiyaki were good. Waited about 30mins. Japanese guy behaved rude and I hated it. Foreign workers were nice and Japanese girl who made okonomiyaki was cute and very polite and nice! Ordered okonomiyaki and yakisoba.

This place is fantastic. The food is incredibly delicious, the service is fast, and the whole experience is just great. Even if there’s a line when you arrive (and there probably will be), they move people through quickly and efficiently. The quality you get for the price is downright criminal. Definitely worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

If you are craving okonomiyaki and yakisoba, consider visiting this spot! The okonomiyaki and yakisoba is one of the best that I ever had. There are various options / toppings to mix and match. However, the overall taste and experience is comparable to other places I been to.
Given the hype, expect a considerable waiting time of around 1 hour based on my experience. If you don’t want to wait, I think there are numerous other places that would offer similar experience, so I wouldn’t worry too much on missing out.
The service is alright, the staff is quick and efficient in cooking / preparing your order. Not the most friendliest / warmest bunch but they get the work done.
