However, the ambiance and starter( chicken mo:mo and lamb chop) was good. The staff was really nice.
Overall experience with the food was below average.
The staff was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer recommendations. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our water glasses were always filled and checking in at just the right moments
For the main course, we ordered Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka masala . The butter chicken had a silky tomato-based gravy, rich in flavor with the right balance of creaminess and spice. The chicken tikka masala was equally delightful, featuring tender pieces of meat simmered in a fragrant, slow-cooked. The Saag Paneer was another highlight, with a deep, flavorful taste that had clearly been cooked just right to develop its flavors.
The garlic naan was soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of crispness on the edges and a generous topping of minced garlic and cilantro. We also tried Jeera Rice, which paired well with the flavorful gravies.
To overall experience was great!!! In terms of both food and service. The flavors were authentic, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation impeccable. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion.
Would I return? Absolutely! If you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine with a refined touch, this place is worth visiting.
The food we tried was pretty average and the spices and preparation was focused more towards a Western palate, that is why most of the positive reviews came from them. But it didn’t quite hit the mark for our Asian taste buds.
On top of that, be prepared for a wait – the service was quite slow and the staff was cordial but pretty laid back. Overall, while the ambience is nice, the food and services are very average especially if you are familiar with genuine Nepali or Indian cuisine.
Okay, here’s an edited review incorporating the owner’s response and the counter-arguments:
“Dear Owner, as mentioned in my original review, I was talking about the dishes we tried, which were quite average and lacked the genuine flavors we were hoping for. Instead, I did write that the atmosphere was nice, and you are just mentioning the roof and wall color “LOL”.
It’s disappointing that the owner’s response focused solely on the decor rather than addressing the core issue of the food quality and service.
Furthermore, consistent long wait times remain a significant drawback. Any pleasant ambiance doesn’t compensate for a lengthy delay in receiving what ultimately amounts to an average meal.
It’s concerning to see this defensiveness that seems to prioritize maintaining ratings over genuinely addressing customer feedback about the food and service speed. Constructive criticism, even if negative, should ideally be met with a focus on improvement rather than deflection. Hopefully, the owner will take this feedback on board and focus on enhancing the flavor of their dishes and improving their service efficiency rather than blaming honest customers.”
Service was good and friendly staff.
Food was lovely. A good price too. Will be back.
We had an entree of lamb soup and veggie samosa. The mains of vegetable vindaloo and prawn in papaya with rice and potato naan.
I personally love lamb soup the most, tender meat and tasty soup!
The main is good in size too and the papaya was fresh and sweet!
The gentleman who seated us and the lady who worked the table were both lovely and attentive.
Perfect place for comfort hot food that makes your tummy happy!
