Great food! Loved the lamb curry and it was a good portion, about $35pp with an entree, naan, and a drink. A little cold inside though, they could turn up the heat a bit. Overall a great experience!

My visit to Namaste was wonderful. The ambiance was calm and inviting, and the service exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm and attentive, especially the gentleman who helped us. The food was the highlight rich flavors, perfect seasoning, and clearly made with care. I can’t wait to come back again.

I ordered vegetable biryani wanted with spicy… but nothing good no salt, no spicy only turmeric powder and lot of oil. Very less amount of rice and more vegetables. It is my third time I have ordered food here, all the time I told them Make it spicy and keep it less veggies . I never order again from them

The restaurant feels clean and fresh, the food it was delicious, and the server was super friendly.
Definitely we are coming back.

The samosas are ok but the chile chicken appetizer and the noon so good!, the lamb and the chicken were super tender and delicious.

Our dining experience was absolutely dreadful. Initially, the hostess seated us at a table for two, but the tablecloth was filthy, covered in noticeable stains. When I pointed this out, she didn’t even apologize or replace the tablecloth. Instead, she reluctantly moved us to another table. Unfortunately, the new table was just as bad—equally dirty with crumbs and sticky spots, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in days. We felt trapped because the restaurant didn’t have table for two, and we had no other seating options. The waitress’s rude behavior made it worse; she kept glaring at us, clearly annoyed that we had complained about the dirty tablecloth.
The food was a complete letdown. We ordered samosa chaat, which was utterly disappointing—soggy, tasteless , as if it had been sitting out for hours. When I asked for straws, the waitress handed us cheap paper straws that disintegrated in our drinks within minutes, making them unusable. To top it off, the main course arrived late, and the waitress was too busy talking on her phone to check on us or ask how the food was. The dishes were bland, and not poorly presented, with no attention to quality.

Service was nonexistent. I had to call the waitress three times just to get salt and pepper, and each time, she rolled her eyes as if we were inconveniencing her. It was clear the staff didn’t care about customer satisfaction. This was, without a doubt the worst dining experience we’ve ever had, and we won’t be returning.

The food is genuinely some of the best stuff i’ve ever had. I’m a college student here in poughkeepsie so i’ve tried plenty of restaurants in the area and this is by far my favorite. If you go you might be greeted by Singh. He’s extremely kind and has great service skills. Me and a friend normally order the tandoori chicken and butter chicken and it always comes out great. check this place out!!

This place just earned some new regulars! Husband said the place looked lovely and had fantastic service. Everything is so fresh and incredibly delicious. I got a mild butter chicken and it’s honestly the best I’ve ever had. Husband got the vindaloo and even though I have a shamefully low tolerance for heat I could only resist the scent and how tender the chicken was for so long. Tasted too good to even care that my mouth was on fire. Yes I went back for more. Zero regrets. Will be getting more in the future. Would post a photo but we ate it all too fast.

We lived in Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC, in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The first Indian Restaurant there was on 74th St. It was called Dehli Palace. That became our gold standard for Indian food, one of my favorite cuisines. Eventually, dozens of Indian Restaurants followed, transforming the area to the aptly-named Little India.
But none of them could hold a candle to Dehli Palace. Our favorite dish was Reshmi Kebab, a platter of sizzling delicately spiced chicken breast on skewers over a bed of onions and peppers. Some Indian restaurants call it Murgh Malai Kebabs. This new restaurant in Poughkeepsie names it Malai Kebabs. And it’s the same as our Holy Grail Reshmi Kebabs. Swoon!
We started our lunch with Vegetable Pakoras and assorted vegetable fritters
Then the aforementioned Malai Kabab
(Boneless chicken breast seasoned with an array of herbs, spices, ginger, garlic and cream.) A lovely Basmati Rice, and Tandoori Roti
Service was attentive and gracious. I included the wine list because it was so thoughtfully curated. The room is simple yet elegant

We will be back!

Namaste, Namaste! So happy to have a good eat-in Indian restaurant in the area. We enjoyed the food and service. The decor is not much changed from the previous falafel restaurant. It’s very clean and comfortable if not atmospheric. We had the fried calamari appetizer, which came with butter chicken sauce. I’d prefer a lighter batter but they were tasty. My husband and I loved the tandoori shrimp, a generous portion, and the dal makhani. I asked for medium spice on the lentils and would call it more on the hot side. Not too hot for my taste, but next time I’d get mild. The whole adds up to more than the sum of its parts, so 5 stars, and I look forward to enjoying more meals here!
