We ordered the Aloo Tikki, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Vindaloo, Fish Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic naan and mango lassi. The food was delicious, well portioned and priced competitively. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained, including the restroom. Most importantly, Rakesh was warm, friendly, and very attentive. With quite a few Indian restaurants in the area, Namaste is a great surprise. My family gives it a very good recommendation.

Namaste India has become our go to stop on the way back from Upstate, and the reason is simple: Kulcha with Chole combo. Every bite takes me straight back to India, the stuffed aloo kulcha slathered with butter, paired with flavorful chole, raita, tangy achaar, and crunchy onion on the side. Add a hot masala chai to it, and suddenly all the tiredness of the journey just melts away.

On our recent visit, we decided to explore beyond our usual order. While the other dishes were decent, none quite lived up to the unbeatable comfort and authenticity of their kulcha chole.
Its a must try if you are visiting this restaurant.

Visited Namaste India with a group of 8 on a really busy day. There was a bit of a wait to get seated and for the food to arrive, but the atmosphere stayed welcoming and calm the whole time.

The shahi paneer was very rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Perfectly cooked and paired so well with the naan. I also loved the mango shakeee!! Yumm Not overly sweet, just really refreshing and satisfying.

Despite how packed it was, the staff stayed kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. Everyone was greeted with a smile, and there was this comforting, family-like energy in the way they interacted. It didn’t feel rushed or transactional—it felt like being taken care of.

Definitely worth the wait, and highly recommended for anyone looking for flavorful food and a welcoming vibe.

Rakesh served me and my family party of 8 today. He was FANTASTIC. I had the Mango Lassi and Medium Chicken Tikka Masala along with tasting the other curries from my party members. You get served with your curries in these special metal bowls which holds the curry to ensure it is freshly hot, retains it’s heat, and has optimal scoopability when scooping your curry into your plate. If you want to eat from the bowl itself, you can — if you want to share your delicious delights with your family (or take for your palate), you can. And I personally recommend this option for the family experience and to try as many of their menu choices.

Ps. Personal opinion. If you want something light, sweet, and like a mango-creamsicle in a glass, choose the Mango Milkshake. If you’re looking for something more heavier and rich in the mango taste, I recommend the Mango Lassi which is also refreshing.

If you are a resident or are visiting New Jersey near this area, give it a try.

Definitely a 10/10. Would recommend again.

The food here is fantastic, and the folks who own the restaurant are really nice. The chef greeted us personally, and they were able to accommodate a member of our party who cannot eat spicy food. I HIGHLY recommend the fish curry!

I’ve been to so many Indian restaurants, and most of the time, the food just isn’t worth it — often pre-made, lacking hygiene, and missing authentic flavors. But this place is a complete game-changer. The people here know what they are doing, serving dishes that are fresh and full of perfectly balanced spices.

Yes, there might be a 5-10 minute wait for your food, but that’s only because they prepare everything fresh, and trust me, it’s worth every minute. This restaurant easily makes my top 5 best food list.

And a special mention to the owner — an amazing, extremely friendly guy who makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. Don’t forget to try their mango lassi! Unlike other places that use canned mango and too much sugar, they make it the authentic way, and it’s simply delicious.

Highly recommend!

The food was decent but the service was abhorrent. The one thing I went for the masala chai tea, I was told would take a while.. no problem.. asked a second time, never came. A second round of naan bread took so long. It was just about dessert.

Review Title: Exceptional Dining Experience – Highly Recommended!

Food Quality:
The food here is absolutely outstanding! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The presentation was also top-notch—each plate looked like it came from a fine dining kitchen.

Service Timeliness:
We were pleasantly surprised by how prompt everything was. From being seated quickly to getting our orders taken and receiving our food—all without any long waits. Even during the busy dinner rush, the staff kept things moving smoothly and efficiently without compromising on quality.

Staff & Hospitality:
The service was truly wonderful. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our dining experience. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. They also checked in just the right amount—not too often, not too little. You can tell the team is well-trained and takes pride in their work.

Atmosphere & Cleanliness:
The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The interior is tastefully decorated, and everything from the tables to the restrooms was spotless.

Overall Recommendation:
This restaurant is a gem! Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a satisfying meal with excellent service, this place delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Summary: Very reasonably priced average Indian food with great service.

From what we ordered,

The Very Good:
Paneer Makhni – Flavored to remember
Amritsari Kulcha – Super soft and tasty

The Average:
Veg Samosa – Good Imli ki chutney.
Dal Makhni – Very average regular taste like dal, nothing close to Makhni
Naan, Raita

The Very Bad:
Malai Kofta – The gravy with “hard” kofta balls was heavily influenced by Mustard seeds and curry leaves. Never seen these in a Malai Kofta.

Free Parking Lot.

The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and cooled nicely for patrons to enjoy their meals. The gentleman who served my meal was very respectful and attentive. The food(tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and palak paneer) was served piping hot and absolutely delicious as well. I’d highly recommend Namaste India and would love to visit here again for my Indian food cravings!
