Namak Restaurant in Dallas is absolutely outstanding! From the moment we walked in, the owner Govardhan made us feel so welcome and comfortable. He is a genuinely kind person who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a great experience.

A huge shoutout to Chef Danish, who customized dishes specially for us. The Mutton Sukka and Chapli Kebab were simply amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and unforgettable. For our Christmas dinner party, Govardhan and Chef Danish put together an incredible menu, and honestly, everyone loved the food.

The highlight of the night was the live Jalebi Rabri—it was a total showstopper and the top hit of the party! Fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious.

The staff deserves special mention too—very polite, attentive, and always smiling. They made sure everything ran smoothly and that all our guests were taken care of.

At this point, all our office parties are only at Namak—that’s how much we trust and love this place. Amazing food, warm hospitality, and a fantastic team. Highly recommend Namak to anyone looking for great Indian food and a perfect venue for celebrations!

Despite the heavy snow outside, this Indian restaurant was warm, welcoming, and absolutely worth the visit. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, making it a perfect place to escape the cold. The food was outstanding — the naan was fresh and fluffy, the curries were rich in flavor, and everything tasted authentic and well prepared. Service was attentive and friendly, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Dining here on a snowy day made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Indian food and a relaxing dining environment.

Exceptional. Gorgeous interior and super delicious food with lots of vegetarian options. Will definitely be back! It was two of us and everything we got added up to $80+ before tip so you might want to save this place for a special night or go easy on the appetizers but it’s worth it. Oh, only thing I hate is with when I’m with someone who can’t handle spice and my order gets adjusted as well. Treat people’s orders separately. I very clearly said 4/5 spicy, the waiter then repeated back “medium?” And I said medium hot. Meanwhile the other person said mild. My malai kofta had no spice. So while everything was amazing, when I say spicy I mean it. Don’t compare me to who I’m with.

I came alone on a weeknight around 8:15 when I was on a business trip, and I found that the food was worth the wait! I was able to relax with my book and a bottle of acqua panna while my meal was prepared—clearly with great care.

I communicated to my server that I don’t handle spicy foods well, and he ensured that all my dishes were served very mild. I ordered the malai tandoori broccoli, butter chicken, garlic naan, and a side of cucumber raita. Everything was delicious and I was only sad to not have someone there to share all the food I couldn’t finish!

I also found the decor and atmosphere to be quite charming, although the music was a little loud and too high-energy for my taste. Something more relaxing would be nice but I also understand that keeping the beats bumping makes it fun! Overall, highly recommend. I will return if I am back in the area.

Amazing food paired with excellent service and wonderful hospitality. Everything felt genuinely authentic — without a doubt the best we’ve had in Dallas in the last 4 years.

Chef Danish needs a special mention: truly 5-star. His depth of experience shows in his taste and hospitality. He makes sure that one has a truly memorable experience.

Even though it’s more than 30 miles away, we’ll gladly make the trip and keep coming back over and over again.

Thank you so much.

Best Indian food we’ve had in Dallas! Spicy and delicious and authentic Indian flavors. I want to try everything on the menu so we will be back.
Creative dishes, cocktails and appetizers. The pani puri appetizer with truffle oil was a nice spin on a favorite chaat and we loved the Saag with burrata.
Wonderful service.
Great atmosphere, but lighting is a little harsh for evening dining.

Delicious food with bold flavors and a really nice level of heat. Everything we tried was well executed and satisfying.

The restaurant itself was surprisingly empty, but it was obvious they were very busy with online orders, which explains part of the experience. The only knock is service — the bartender was clearly stretched thin while also handling food orders, so things felt a bit slow and less attentive than ideal.

That said, the quality of the food absolutely carried the visit. Great flavors, good spice, and worth coming back for — especially if service staffing improves.

What a lovely meal we just had at Namak Indian Restaurant in Old Town! My husband loved his Chicken Vindaloo and I felt the same about the Biriyani Mutter. Also of note was an appetizer called Bun Tikki that was incredibly tasty, especially if you like spicy food! (Crispy potato patty with spiced nuts and chutneys served in a toasted bun) The dessert was a sweet honey-combed delight that you should NOT miss! Ghevar Glow (A crispy, sweet honeycomb like dessert made with flour, ghee, and sugar syrup) Our server gave us perfect service, the right blend of attentiveness without being overwhelming. Highly recommend!

This is place Beautiful, I came in way before dinner rush. I ordered the Garlic Naan with the Old Delhi Lamb Nihari. The lamb comes in a gravy Very Aromatic, the tenderness of the lamb blew me away. The Gravy was very light spice with a mild sweetness. Accompanied by White Rice. The Garlic Naan Was Light with Mild Garlic notes. It doesn’t over power the flavor of the Naan. I will defiantly come back and I recommend this place to people who haven’t had Authentic Indian food. The bar is Really Nice as well. I didn’t take pictures of the food because it was too good to resist. Thank you, I will see y’all soon!
