Thank you
They have a limited menu of select food items, some of which are big very common in other restaurants.
Note that this is veg only restaurant.
We tried their dabheli, dahi wada, tacos, and Pav bhaji. All of them were exceptionally good. The first three items are not very common. We also had masala chai which was awesome. The food looked freshly made in very good quality raw materials.
There is ample parking but very limited seating. It is self service and most people are expected to take the food home. However we were able to get a seat there.
They also seem to do food catering.
Highly recommend this place for a snack or a meal. They have platters which we plan to try soon…
We opted to order from their specials menu, selecting Pav Bhaji, Masala Maggi, Dahi Vada, Dabeli, and Vada Pav. My wife enjoyed the Masala Maggi, though I found it to be average. As noted in other reviews, some dishes tended to be on the oily side. The Pav Bhaji was ordinary, but the Dabeli stood out as the highlight of our meal, offering a delightful blend of flavors and textures. Unfortunately, the Dahi Vada was disappointing; while the yogurt was flavorful, the vada itself was overly hard. The Vada Pav was also just satisfactory. We also got the shrikhand which was really good but $4.99 for a small shrikhand was a bit steep
Despite some inconsistencies, I see potential in Namak’s concept and offerings. With some refinements, particularly in balancing flavors and textures, this establishment could become a go-to spot for authentic vegetarian Indian street food in Naperville.
Their food was very similar to homemade food, whether it was the bhaji or the chapatis that came with dal makhani.
Very light, less spicy food which was the best part! Everything else except the dahi bad a was delicious— the bada (balls) weren’t soft enough.
But the entire process of ordering to picking up the order was quick. They prepped it in no time. They also have Indian tea time snacks, which can be purchased in the store.
