Honestly, a 3 is generous but I recognize that with Covid ongoing everyone is having issues. Props to the employees for doing their best but the whole experience during the lunch rush was not good. I went in for the juror special and they no longer honor that so I ordered something I wouldn’t have actually wanted if I had known. Additionally the service was slow (20+ minutes) and they made my salad wrong anyways. When I went in to get my missing ingredient I got the tiniest little cup of it. It tasted fine but I wish I had gone just about anywhere else for lunch. Again, props to the employees for doing their best but there are so many nearby better and quicker options.

Sorry… I really wanted to leave a good review here – for several reasons. Mainly because it’s a Black-owned business, in a great location, and offering me the promise of a healthy lunch while serving on jury duty downtown. Unfortunately, this salad-specialty restaurant was out of the basic ingredients to make most of the salads available on their menu. No suggestions or help from the Staff, so I ended up ordering something concocted on the fly, and almost inedible. First impressions count for me. It is unlikely I’ll stop here again.

Half the staff were incredibly rude. They had run out of some really basic things they offer by noon, and they didn’t clearly indicate that items had run out with signs or anything. On the other end of the poor customer service spectrum, I asked for an item on the menu and a staff member said they didn’t have it, even though they actually did have it. When I asked her about other items on the menu, she did not seem to know what they were and quickly became agitated, interrupting my questions and raising her voice at me. Some other customers had come in right after me and I understand the lunch rush may be stressful, but this was wildly unprofessional. Then then person who rang me up, who I think may have been a manager, tossed my salad bowl on the counter with a lot of attitude and did not give me a fork. The only forks in the whole place were behind the register (unlike the napkins, straws, cups, and lids which were out in the open) so I had to circle back and ask for one. Their tables wobble all over the place. When you use their soda fountain, it leaks all over your hand. The food was fine but incredibly overpriced. Eat elsewhere.
Quick update like 5 minutes after posting since I just read similar experiences in other reviews and I forgot to mention- they only filled my bowl halfway, and it was mostly spinach. So yeah, very very overpriced and not worth the bad vibes

The music was too loud on this place. I could not understand a word that the employee spoke. And then you can’t build your salad. Who the hell wants a salad created by the business??? If that’s the case,then they should be free!!! The employee uses his hands pick up the salad greens…after he dealing with unrelated good handling ….eeeew.

Gave this place a try while on Jury duty. Got the Asian bowl with blackened chicken on brown rice. There was a line out the door, but service itself was fast once I got to the counter. The food itself was delicious, healthy and very filling. Note: the juror website says the juror special is an entree combo (chips + drink) for 10$. It’s actually just a flat 20% off. Given the quality of the food, still a very good deal.

Had an hour to kill for lunch doing jury duty today. Nalley is right around the corner from the court house, never tried it, thought I’d give it a go today. The wrap I got was pretty good. Mango Mojito Chicken, try if you’re there. “Dirty” chips were good, water was water etc etc. Here’s the real point of the review: Customer Service. Not even my customer service. Not even for an actual customer. More like human decency. Here’s the scene: it’s the lunch rush. Outdoor tables are becoming more and more premium. Sprawled out on one table, is she homeless? I don’t know, but I assume. Large dreadlocked gentleman comes out, asks her to leave. She’s been there long enough. She mumbles some thing I can’t hear. But I know he’s got the nuclear option in his back pocket (I’ll call the cops). Instead, he returns with a small cup of water. She drinks it, gratefully. A few minutes later, she’s gone. No scene. The restaurant got what it wanted in a kind and compassionate manner. Good job guy, whoever you were. Way to be a decent human today.

I was at this place two years ago, and it was a good place for a healthy salad. I went back two weeks ago, and the staff is kind, but the general feeling is that the site and the food handling are not clean. The vegetables don’t look fresh; the food bar is messy, and. The final look of the salad made me doubt the safety of eating it. I paid for it but decided to throw it in the trash. I should have taken a look before ordering to save my $15
