We recently catered from Nalapaka for our event, and it was a wonderful experience. They were incredibly helpful from the very beginning, patiently walking us through the menu and helping us calculate the right quantities needed for our guest count.
The food itself was the highlight—it was absolutely delicious, and all of our guests really enjoyed the authentic Karnataka delicacies.
We highly recommend Nalapaka for catering. They provided excellent service and truly outstanding food that made our event special.

We were craving for some good home style cooked food after getting bored with restaurant style food. Decided to try this new place and were really impressed and happy with the meal. The biryani was star and the quantity was a lot for a couple, loved the wada bisebilebath and puran poli. All the dishes we decided to order were good, will be reordering soon.

Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Karnataka food!! We ordered onion pakoda, masoppu saaru, chapathi, ambode (masala vade)
First of all – the onion pakoda was exactly like Bangalore bonda shops pakoda!! Hats off for mastering that. It’s very crispy – every bite! There’s nowhere in the US I’ve eaten proper crispy Bangalore style pakoda, with dill, curry leaves!
Second – chapathi was extremely soft, Homestyle chapathi! Not machine made!! Really good size for the price
Third – ambode- it was really good! Crispy yet soft!! Was delicious.
Fourth – the masoppu saaru was out of the world! It was lip smacking great!!
Bonus – was given a cup of pineapple kesari bath and I just wished it wouldn’t finish!! Generous dollops of ghee, kesari and the pineapple chunks came together very well taking be back home to Bangalore!! Fantastic!!
Sagar (owner) was very sweet in providing updates on the order.
Will definitely be regular customer to try all the other vegetarian items on their menu!

Nalapaka is a hidden gem offering authentic Karnataka cuisine. The Pepper Chicken and the Obbattu are must-tries. Can’t wait to try more of their dishes. Will definitely return.

The chicken/mutton biryani and Bangalore kababs, have become an almost weekly staple at our household. We love the flavors immensely. This past weekend, we catered it for a party at home (chicken donne biryani, Maddur vada, avarekalu biryani, poori/saagu and carrot halva). I don’t think there is any other restaurant that has such deep expertise in Karnataka cuisine, and I’m talking about all of US and not just in the Bay Area.

Each dish was fantastic—prepared fresh without any artificial colors, and tasted exactly like home-cooked meals.
