The Dining area was very busy, yet clean and orderly.
The food was nicely packaged for our takeout order. I really appreciated that the takeout dishes had segregated compartments, keeping the sides separate from the meats.
The meat was seasoned and smoked nicely! All the sides that we had were fresh and tasty.
Keep up the good job….we’ll definately add this to our rotation when we’re in the area and looking for a place to eat.
If you enjoy GOOD BBQ…Look no further! They got you covered here.
They said this could feed 1-6 people and I’m just gonna assume they meant 6 people who all recently had gastric bypass surgery. . . When we first went in we noticed what seemed to be pepper on the macaroni and cheese..(My kids think pepper is spicy lol) so we asked them if it was spicy at all and the tall white guy with the glasses (Don’t know his name) said in a condescending tone, it’s just regular Mac n cheese! We ordered the $60.00 Big Daddy which came with a half pound of chicken a half rack of ribs a half pound of brisket and a half pound of pulled pork, then it came with two sides and . Once we finished placing our order, (my wife and I are both veterans) we asked if they did a veteran discount. The cashier seemed unsure so she asked the other two workers. Once again, the white guy in a rude tone just said, no! Then the cashier explained to us that they don’t do military discount on orders over $60. Yes, you read that correctly OVER. Which test that didn’t make any sense so I asked is it over $60 or the order has to be over $60 in order to use this discount… and she confirmed no we don’t do military discount on orders over $60. That didn’t make any sense to me you’d think it’d be the other way around.
Now let’s get to actually eating the food, which is what I’m doing at this very moment… the meat was pretty dry. The ribs were OK. The sauce is pretty good (4/5 stars for both sauces). The macaroni and cheese taste decent if you add a little salt to it I don’t really mess with beans like that but my wife said the beans were “a shame.” so I’m just going to take a wild guess and say those were not very tasty and the cornbread literally had no taste at all. It was LITERALLY like just putting a flavorless piece of cake in your mouth.. It was moist though. I only gave this place two stars because of the cashier at the front counter the cleanliness and ambience. I did not get the young woman’s name, but she was very kind. If you’re gonna go ahead and spend 60 bucks anyway , there are quite a few other places that are far better than this.
I ordered the two-meat platter, and while everything looked great, the food itself was fair at best. The meats lacked the bold, smoky flavor I was hoping for, and the sides were just okay. Not bad, but nothing that really stood out either.
It’s a good spot if you’re nearby and craving BBQ, but for me, it didn’t quite hit the mark.
The BBQ chicken was decent, the mac & cheese was just okay, and the coleslaw was average at best. Even the salad, which was pre-made… they placed the BBQ on top, felt uninspired. In fact, I added different sauces on my BBQ to give it some flavor. Nothing I tried stood out or left a lasting impression on my taste buds. It felt like the theme of the visit was “average”—no bold flavors, no wow factor, and definitely no culinary fireworks.
To be honest, NakedQ BBQ didn’t strike me as the kind of place that makes you think, “I need to travel to this side of the Valley for this BBQ.” It didn’t feel like one of those must-visit BBQ spots that you’d recommend to others as a standout destination. That said, I want to be fair and give it another chance.
I’ll revisit the restaurant to explore more of the menu and hopefully have a different experience next time. For now, though, it feels like a good, but not exceptional, BBQ joint. Time will tell if it can rise above just being “nice”.
