It was also very affordable and a great value for delicious clean ingredients. Our server, Amber was attentive and delightful.
We’d come this way just for this eatery.
1st visit: I met Autumn at the counter and ordered take out. She was so sweet, friendly, and provided good recommendations. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken and the Playboy Roll. The Playboy roll was amazing. The General Tsos Chicken with Fried Rice was decent and just like any other restaurant. The Fried Rice was very good.
2nd Visit: I met Katie at the counter and ordered take out. She was very nice and polite, and provided great recommendations. I ordered the Crab Rangoons, Mongolian Beef, and the Playboy Roll. The Crab Rangoons and the Mongolian Beef was an improvement on the General Tsos Chicken from the day before. I ate lunch in the hotel lobby and a couple people commented on how good the food smelled.
The inside is sparsely lit and it is a nice place for a date.
Food takes a little longer than other places, but it is worth the wait.
4 stars because apparently inflation is out of control and the menu doesn’t reflect the actual prices. We were charged $2 more on almost every meal we ordered than what the menu stated.
Saddly, and maybe it was out choice in dishes the food profile in none of the dishes was exeptional. The egg roll were flat. No decernable flavor profile. It did come with a decent sauce.
We try Pad Thai often. Some are wet, some are dryer. Some a lot of peanut. Some a little peanut. Well this lacked the peanuts, lacked bean sprouts, lacked any flavor in the sauce. If you like the generic flavor profile you will like the large portion size.
Our server was excellent. And
the speed and pacing of the meal were fine.
This is the kind of place you go to with the office gang so everyone can find something they will eat but sushi style.
Everything is a little bit off/not quite right as far as the intended cuisine. The bulgogi is very thick cut and overly sweet, the Korean soup is just spicy and not flavorful with very chewy beef mixed in, and the sushi is a lot of sauce not alot of fish. Our friends had also gotten a chicken katsu that was overcooked chicken breast. When asked how it was they just shook their head in a fast no motion. Lastly was a seared tuna app that she described as “frozen to heat” texture. Very watery and flavorless.
Service is fine. Noting steller and nothing bad.
The verdict on this place is pass. For the price it’s just too off to enjoy.
