Every visit has been met with great hospitality, but this time felt extra special. From what I understand, they’ve updated their menu and have a new owner. Since my mom and I don’t eat meat, they went out of their way to accommodate us with delicious substitutions. To top it off, we were treated to complimentary churros from the owner—some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m not just saying that!
The food came out quickly, there was no wait, and our server was incredibly attentive. I’m so glad I brought my family here today—it was a truly lovely experience.
I looked over the menu and decided on the tacos. When asked how many tacos come in an order, I was told it was only one! Okay, so I ordered my beer, which came right away. Then, I ordered my appetizer and tacos. My appetizer was their ” homemade caso and chips.” I assure you, this stuff is far from homemade! It was a thick pastey cheese that was melted with a pile of very thick factory made chips. Doritos would have been better! The carnitas tacos, which was my dinner, came out at the same time as my appetizer. Clearly, someone doesn’t understand the concept of an appetizer. The tacos were barely warm and did not have any type of sauce with them. I had to request a salsa for them. Overall, I’m not impressed with this restaurant . I don’t see it lasting long if it can’t handle a single patron efficiently with quality food on a slow night. But the restaurant looks good
**update** After my visit and review of the Naked Taco I was contacted by Becky Saka the marketing director who noticed my review. She requested that I contact her so she could learn more about my dining experience that evening. We spoke, and I explained the problems as I had seen them, and she seemed genuinely concerned and asked me to let her know when and if I were to visit the restaurant again. About a week or so later my wife and I decided to go to the promenade area and wanted to get some dinner, so I reached out to Becky and let her know we were stopping in for dinner around 6:30. Becky made reservations for us, and a table was waiting. We were greeted, right away by the hostess who seemed to expect us. Our waitress Franka came over very quickly and took our drink order and appetizer orders. She was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu items. Once our drinks and appetizers arrived, our entrees were taken and came out very quickly. Everything came out hot and tasted great. The manager, Tremaine stopped by our table a couple times to check on us to make sure everything was going well and that everything tasted fine. All in all, The Naked Taco went out of their way to make sure that not only their food, but their staff , service and reputation left a good taste in our mouths. This is how businesses should be run. Someone in the front office observes a potential issue, steps up, addresses it, and makes the effort to correct it. I appreciate the whole experience! Thanks again to the staff at the Naked Taco.
The only issue I had were the flies… there were 2-3 flies that got on our damn nerves after the food was brought out! They stayed flying over our food while we were eating and on the table and on our “to-go box” once we packed up!
