Great food & the chefs even customized rolls for us. (If you want it spicy- they can make it SPICY! Also able to take off some spice for those of us with more WI palettes). Athena was a fantastic server even making the birthday meals an extra special treat!
The bartenders were also very good with recommendations & sampling beers when we were undecided.
Highly recommend!
Also keep in mind there will likely be a longer wait time so be sure to plan for it on the weekend- it’s worth the wait.

Good experience with my son and his cousins. Service was good.
The chef did a good job trying to engage the boys. They enjoyed it and ate all their food, except the vegetables of course.

I’ve been here quite a few times. The atmosphere is a bit dark and sometimes loud, bit it works well. The music in the bar is rather loud, and the lighting is very dim. The lighting in the dining room is low. The food is typically delicious! The food and the quality of the entertainment of the hibachi cooking is very dependent on your cook. If you get an experienced chef, it’s amazing! If you get some one newer it is still pretty good, but you may not get all of the fun tricks or they may struggle to perform them. Even newer chefs will cook the food decently. My last trip was a first in which our group felt there was anything to really mention anything about. We felt there were more onions than zucchini by a lot. The portion of mushrooms felt much less than normal. I personally felt the chicken should have been cooked more.
Overall I would still highly recommend this place. The flavors are excellent, and it is a good time. The sushi and appetizers we’ve had are always good. Monday through Thursday you can call ahead for reservations. So this time we got in right away. Any other time or without reservations the wait can be extreme, but the place is always busy!

Pretty decent place but if you’ve had hibachi at other places, it’s not the same. There’s a lot of nickle and diming, which I didn’t really care for, but overall the whole experience wasn’t that bad. I wish they had the full hibachi menu for just regular seating though because I really didn’t need it cooked in front of me.
The sushi is delicious here. Very fresh. I would come back for this for sure.
The hibachi left a lot to be desired. The chef cut the shrimp in tiny little pieces for some reason so it was just unnecessarily overcooked. It was also the only thing seasoned correctly. It seems like the bulk of the flavor they rely on is like a ginger soy and butter, but it’s missing some key seasonings. For example, many hibachi places will use garlic powder or garlic butter, which kind of brings it up the extra level. All of the food was kind of meh in terms of seasoning. Normally you can kind of make up for that with sauces, but the mustard thing they had was way too harsh, pungent, and bitter. The ginger sauce was basically what the food was cooked with already. I know yum yum sauce is not authentic, but this food kind of needed it. However, the chef did a good job with the cook of everything so it was still pretty alright. I also wish we could just sub for fried rice for half the price of adding it on. I really didn’t need both white and fried rice. The price of all of the meats is really high. I’ve paid less in much larger cities. I also didn’t understand why the shrimp is so much more expensive than everything else, but I’m glad I didnt get it in the end because it would’ve been overcooked.

The food was good like usual and our chef Miguel was great but the reason for the 3 star service is for the server.
She was nice but kept bumping into everything. She’d slam down a glass and it would clink into another glass and spill a little etc. Slamming things carelessly onto the table happened the entire duration of our meal. I understand it’s extremely busy but our whole table noticed.

The food and the atmosphere were great. They were very busy, but they got us in quickly. we didn’t have too long of a weight. It was like dinner and a show. The chef prepares your food in front of you and entertains you with conversation and tricks. Dinner for 2 will run you about $100.

My Wife and I took our Granddaughter here Nov. 22 around 5pm. It was crowded already, but we wanted to eat in the sushi room so we got a table right a way. We started with an appetizer of potstickers. Those were great. Then ordered meals of Chicken Japanese curry katsu (2) and a sautéed yaki salmon. All the food was great. The potstickers were so good that we ordered another after our meal. We all had sodas. Bill came to $78 and change. We were all full and brought some food home. We’ll be back again.

This place is always packed but well worth the wait! Excellent food prepared at the table. Loved the onion volcano! Staff is wonderful and goes above and beyond. I would suggest the dinner for two. Soup, salad, main course, and desert included! Great portion at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back.

Had the best experience having my birthday party at Nakashimas for hibachi. Between my phone calls and Facebook messages, they were beyond kind and helpful, having never done hibachi before. We had a group of 22 people and were attentive with each person, the hibachi chefs made the evening so fun and the waitstaff got everything right. I’d definitely do this again.
