This is a LEGIT Korean restaurant❤️ the food is just so good. I ordered Korean spicy rice cake, Kimchi stew, stone hot bibimbap and LA Galbi. All of them were soooo delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and visit again!!

A super lovely place, only a few tables, but the food and the service is pretty good, love the auntie who’s also the boss here.
There’s no alcohol for sale here but it’s BYOB, There’s no where else that you can get a drink and relax with your friend in down Pitt.
Seafood hotpot, pork belly, seafood pancake, pork elbow highly recommend

My visit to Nak Won Gardon was, unfortunately, a letdown from start to finish. We were excited for a authentic Korean experience, but that’s not what we received.

The first issue was the service; despite the restaurant not being very busy, our food came out incredibly slow. There were long, awkward waits between ordering, receiving the side dishes, and finally getting our main courses.

When the food did arrive, it was mediocre at best. The marinated meats we ordered for the grill were surprisingly tough and chewy, lacking the tenderness and flavor you’d expect. The other dishes we tried, like the bibimbap, were bland and felt like they had been sitting for a while.

For the price point, the quality was just not there. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to others seeking good Korean food. There are much better options in the area.

We order the Korean wings and Beef & Pork dumplings for appetizers. Both excellent. We then ordered a Bibimbap stone bowl and the Beef Bulgogi. It was a great Valentine’s Day dinner for me and my wife. Our favorite Korean spot in Pittsburgh!

I liked it. I read the reviews online before I went. I guess it was much better than I thought. First, the restaurant was really clean. There was literally a tissue box behind each table. The restroom was probably one of the cleanest I have been in the area. The food was fresh. If I guessed right, this restaurant is probably owned and ran by a couple, so they treated it more of a home than a business.

The food is decent (family-style Korean cuisine). The service remains the same as before. We were not the last table in the restaurant, yet the lady would stand in front of our table, watching us eat. When my friends and I were chatting, she quickly took away the dishes and presented us with the bill. This made us feel rushed to finish our meal and leave.

Little hole in the wall Korean joint. Small menu but they seem to do everything on the menu very well.

Bibimbap, Kalbi and plenty of banchan. The appetizers are all the price of entries which is wild.

Four stars because service was rushed. The auntie handling the tables only said “Ready”, “Beef”, and “Thank you.” The other issue is the air venting. The smoke from the kitchen sort of permeates everything. They need a kitchen hood.

Foods fire though.

Service was honestly really good despite others reviews. I think they can just come off as a bit awkward, but they’re very friendly if you talk with them. I think it really is just a cultural difference on service that is causing a misunderstanding.

Food was good overall. I got the Sundubu and Pork Bulgogi. The waiter was kind of enough to explain how to do the lettuce wrap with the side dishes and bulgogi. Overall, would recommend! I’ll definitely be back
