Please note I went to the restaurant for Oneonta parents weekend. I visited the restaurant on 10/28/24.
Went with a group that had a reservation. Took 20 minutes to get seated when the restaurant was not busy and the table was already set for us. Just felt ignored by the staff and then took forever to get food that was so unimpressive and came out sporadically. I will not go back. It’s has a great ambience for watching the game and drinking, just don’t order food it will take forever. Server never said why the delay and just ignored us.

Super accommodating for food allergies, waitstaff amazingly friendly and helpful. Women’s bathroom looked and smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned from the day before, and we got there at opening.
The food itself had nice portions. Egg plant fries were good but soggy. Burger with bacon was mid. Nothing wrong with it, it was fine, just not anything exemplary. Pineapple coleslaw had very little flavor. Fried chicken add on to the Mac and cheese was lackluster.
Would go back but wished the prices were a little cheaper for some of the standard dishes.

This was an amazing experience. Mavis did a wonderful job. She was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The burger was cooked perfectly which added to the amazing taste.

Walked in and stood at the bar for 10 minutes as the bartender who was working (young red head female) never acknowledged us once. She walked by us multiple times and continued her more important conversation at the bar with the only other 2 people there and then continued ignoring us/me by going on her phone until I finally said something to her to get her attention to let her know how rude she was and then walked out. Super rude, absolutely terrible customer service, would never recommend going here.

As a server I always try to be understanding and compassionate. The experience we had was beyond terrible. We entered with a larger party. Upon arrival the we ordered drinks, which took an extended time. Drinks were delivered and a beer was forgotten. We waited, but our waitress didn’t return, so we had to go to the bar and retrieve the missing drink. Eventually our server came back and took our order. Several items were not available. We ordered appetizers and meals. After 45 minutes our appetizers hadn’t arrived, drinks were empty and our waitress never came back. We then approached the bar to which the server blamed the kitchen. We asked to order more drinks and she came over. Half of the appetizers came out (wings) with not plates, napkins or silverware. We then had to approach the bar and ask for napkins. Meanwhile our waitress had yet to come back after taking the original order. Eventually additional drinks came out and the rest of the food. Most of which was cold, overcooked or came out 10 minutes after the rest. Our waitress did not come back once. As meals were finished we had to go to the bar to ask for our bill which was promptly delivered. Not surprising, our bill included a 20% gratuity for a waitress who was essentially MIA and we had to go to the bar multiple times. Granted the server (not our waitress) comped a round of drinks and two wings, the bill was still almost $300. As a server I completely understand mistakes, errors etc but to then completely avoid a table and add 20% gratuity for mediocre food and drinks. Definitely not a repeat customer.
Also to note…there were 4 tables, 3 of which were 4 people and under and two people at the bar.

Loved this restaurant. Most comfortable at a booth. I had a veggie bowl, my daughter had the poutine, and my hubby had a fajita pita. All delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed a tuxedo bomb. Delish. Very friendly atmosphere. Great service with a smile.

The staff here is always so pleasant. It cannot be easy dealing with hundreds and hundreds of baseball parents and families but they always do such a great job. Our food was excellent and served very fast. Great beer selection as well.

Nags is a wonderful place in the city of the hills. I am always looking for good vegan or vegetarian options, especially good falafel. Nags didn’t disappoint! The falafel wrap was excellent. Although they were patties instead of spheres, the falafel was good but the cucumber relish and spicy tzatziki made this one of the best falafel sandwiches! I also tried the fried garlic cheese, and that was pretty good too.
There’s a full bar, and the decor is modern and clean. But there are so many different options on the menu. It an eclectic mix of various dishes from all over the world (including fried green tomatoes and all day breakfast).
If you’re ever in Oneonta, try Nags!

Nice, clean and modern decor. It is welcoming and friendly service. The team was prompt and everyone was friendly. The drink was delicious and a good variety of appetizers. We really enjoyed the eggplant fries, the tater bombs were a bit disappointment coz lacked flavour. For mains, we had the NAGS burger which was very generous in portion; and pasta with salmon which it did not over cooked or undercook. Overall, a pleasant causal dining experience.
