I wish I could rate them higher as this was a staple growing up. I returned with my family excited to dine here again, and the host was incredibly rude. The restaurant only had a few tables seated and even with a reservation they wouldn’t sit us. There were no chefs out on the floor, and seemed incredibly understaffed for a holiday. After waiting awhile and never having been updated/taken to seats, we ended up leaving. I hope they consider customer experience a bit more in the future as this was an establishment that was well loved in the past.

We had reservations with another family for Xmas Eve. I know it’s difficult and busy. They kept telling us it was going to be 15 min. When it hit an hour after our reservation, we left as no one seems to care we were still waiting. Our friends stayed and were seated 70 min after our reservation and then no one came over for 15 min so they left and went to happy pig. We will never give them another opportunity as they should have communicated to us how long a the wait was and how over booked they were.

We have been going here for 20 years for special occasions-holidays, Birthdays etc. We made a reservation more than a month out for Christmas Eve 2025 as we had done for decades. Nagoya called us on two occasions, including a call 12/24/25, to confirm. We had 8 of us and when we arrived about 10 minutes early, the man (who I believe is the owner) told my wife he did not see it until 30 minutes later so we planned to wait.
Others arriving after us were seated. Now maybe 3 minutes after our arrival, we went back, talked to the owner who had nothing to offer of help, and my wife pointed in the reservation book, at the reservation at the time we booked, now about 45 minutes past the reservation and circled which perhaps means no-show, the rest were scratched out. The owner apologized lamely and seemed to have little concern. We gave up and left. It left us hanging as we had not planned anything else. We took the kids to Subway next door as they were very hungry and very disappointed because they wanted to watch the person cooking. The owner should realize the point is not taking the reservation; it is HONORING the reservation which there was no honoring.

I had 2 rolls as well as sake. I loved the presentation and I felt welcome as soon as I came into the restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere and felt like I was taken care of by the staff. Wonderful visit and I will come back for more sushi. Will also have to try their hibachi next time.

Im gonna be honest. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY OR CARRYOUT. We got significantly less food than the portions would have been if we ate at the restaurant.
What you see pictured here was $40!!!!! Insanely small for that price…. $20 bucks for 9 shrimp… Such a rip off and it was barely warm when i got it. I live 5 minutes from the restaurant so there is no excuse.

This spot is a family favorite of my husband and his family. I’ve been here about 10-15 times now and each time we leave happy, well fed and normally with a little snack/to go box with our leftovers. The fried rice is delicious, they cook everything in front of you (of course) and I’m always satisfied. I will say the prices have increased and the meat quality isn’t amazing but it’s always a good meal.

We used to love going here and always thought we got our moneys worth, but similar to other people’s recent experience, the prices have only gone up and the portions have gotten smaller and smaller. Also the server who takes the order just has a bad attitude. We thought that it was a one time thing last time but even at our most recent visit we got the same attitude. The traffic has noticeably gone down for dinner time. Their increase in prices, decrease in food portions and over all service is definitely being felt by the customers. Hopefully they can monitor their reviews and try to do better.
