We got a $20 for $12 Groupon for Nagato. Wanted to try it for a while.

Got a $20 for $12 Groupon. Read the fine print. We ordered carry-out and they would not honor it, though the Groupon said NOTHING about dine-in only. Even the hostess agreed that the wording needs to be changed, said the owner doesn’t honor it.

Ordered yellow curry rice. It is supposed to come with rice and we didn’t get rice. The salad, soup, and even the crunchies for the soup were there, but no rice; HALF THE MEAL was missing.

I’ve heard great things about this place. Sad to report it kind of sucks.

This place is one of the best Japanese steakhouses in the area, we thought probably better than sagano, or at least just as good. Was not good when it was Shogun, but is excellent now. Went there for my son’s birthday, and everything was great. Great food, service, entertainment, half off beers with excellent selection of draft beers, brought our son special cake for birthday, overall great experience! Highly recommend this place and will be back soon!

This place is amazing! Great food, service, and management. They have great deals on drink, they have bistro, sushi, and hibachi. The sweet and sour is the best I’ve had anywhere! Their Green Dragon drink is amazing. Way better than in the past, the new owner is funny and genuine. He was a chef himself at one point, and the waitresses are super awesome.

Whenever business has me in Brighton during dinner hours, I put Nagato at the very top of my restaurant list. The Hibachi Scalops are the best – I have ordered this dish several times and the scallops have NEVER been over-done! I have always ordered my food carry-out and have never been disappointed by the portion size or quality of the food. There is a 20% loyalty club for $30 – this is a value to me as I will buy more than six main dishes in one year – YMMV

There are few options in the Brighton area that offer sushi, let alone at this great price and quality. The sushi menu has great options; sushi, sashimi and both traditional and custom rolls. The cuts of fish are extremely generous. Add to it the member card for a discount and the price versus quality & proportion is amazing! Glad they’re here and hope they’re here to stay!

My family, friends , and I go here often. I’m always greeted with an ice cold bottle of Nigiri Unfiltered Sake. Half the time it’s waiting at the table. The wait staff is top notch. The chefs are always on point. Great place to have a few drinks, good food, and some laughs with friends.

The service was subpar, food was decent (not worth the money at least) but it was the manager who convinced us not to return. It was the second time we went here but the first time with the hibachi. From screwing up the drink order, forgetting about our sushi order and a dishonest manager with qualms about lying to your face to make a few more dollars off of you regardless of the cost, I am seriously disappointed. I don’t suggest getting the “discount card” because if you are smart you will not be returning.

The 5 of us had dinner here last night. The waitress was the only good thing about this place. Very kind and attentive. The sushi was warm, my yellow curry was Gray. It tasted like milk and not curry. I was very disappointed in the whole meal. No one liked the salads. Yuck

went there when it was Shogun and was not impressed. Usually went to Sagano’s. But now we love it. Love the new soup, meat is always tender, fat free and tasty. What sushi we have had has been excellent. I’ve been to many Japanese Steakhouses from Epcot Center, Orlando to Livonia and more and the only one I could say is as good was Moy’s in Livonia which has been closed for many years. Only negative is that they never have the Golden Shrimp when we go there. Hoping to try it.
