We need to talk y’all. This is a hidden gem. My wife and I stumbled in after a long day with the kids and told ourselves this would be our eating out for the month meal. We were so glad this place was it.
The food was fantastic. The sushi was delicious, top grade nigiri and even the wasabi was strong and fresh. The appetizers were prompt and hit the spot. The mains were fantastic. I really wanted more sushi but we had to go get the kids to bed. This is definitely our top pick for date night.
What really sets this place apart besides the food is the service. We had Veronica and she’s a professional that definitely takes pride in her work. It all felt so smooth and natural. Drinks always full, table cleared without us even noticing (I still don’t know how she took an empty plate that was literally in front of me without me noticing) and she checked in enough to make sure we were ok but not so much that it was intrusive. Clearly, she knew what she was doing.
People like this are few and far between these days. She really cared about her work and it wasn’t just us, I saw her give the same excellent service to every table.
Our daughter wanted to draw and they didn’t have anything, so this girl gave her a pen and a page off her order book. That was really sweet. Honestly, my wife and I left even happier than we came in and came to the conclusion that this was the best service we’ve ever had. Period. Good food, great service, and btw super clean restrooms. Ten out of ten.

We chose this restaurant at random today, and we hit the jackpot with our choice! The hot jasmine tea was delicious and the perfect temperature, the clear soup was rich and flavorful, my husband loved the fried rice and I loved all of the sushi (sweet potato, spicy Tuna, and Smoked Salmon with cream cheese)! Everything was perfectly prepared and tasted great. 10/10 would recommend again, and the price was reasonable for everything we got! Our waitress was great as well and her recommendations on what to try were all great.

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants, and its convenient location near my home makes it even better. The sashimi and nigiri are exceptional — always fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The salmon, in particular, is outstanding and something I look forward to every visit. The staff are warm, attentive, and welcoming, which truly elevates the dining experience. I highly recommend this place.

I cant begin to say how much mu hubs and I love this place. There is no hibachi table service but who cares when the food and servers are this amazing! We love Kyle and how attentive he is! My hubs alway gets the shrimp hibachi dinner and adds scallops thanks to kyle helping us figure out the best bang for our buck.
I absolutely love the relaxing, intimate environment and price point.
Theres an amazing canned cold green unsweet tea here and the sweet potato tempura sushi is the best.

The food here is phenomenal! I have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years. Used come by 3 times a week when I lived closer. They have high quality of the sushi and other Japanese dishes! I highly recommend this place!

Nagasaki Japanese Restaurant is a good place for sushi dishes. They have plenty of seating, so you can get a table almost any time of day. We tried four different sushi rolls, and each was very flavorful along with put together well. The prices were very reasonable. The only knock was it took quite a while to get our food.

We went here for my daughter’s 11th birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered 8 different rolls, and EVEYTHING WAS SOOOOO GOOD! Literally, everything we ate was perfectly made. The sushi quality was superb. Our waiter, Kyle, was excellent. He even walked our 86 year old great grandmom to a sushi roll that she loved and devoured! I found this place because the sushi place we originally planned to visit was closed. I’m so glad they were. This place is a gem and is worth the extra drive. Also, it was a hit with 4 generations of women! That’s a miracle in itself. Lol!

Food was okay. Portions were small compared to Fujiyama in rivercity. Shrimp sauce is a little bit different as well as the clear soup not sure what’s off with it but not as good as other places. Service and restaurant were great but definitely not up to par to other hibachi steak houses. Will definitely go elsewhere before here. First picture is from Nagasaki and is the steak and chicken dinner size 28 bucks in a small black to go container. The second picture is the same order same price from Fujiyama for comparison in multiple boxes.

Sushi was very good. Fresh and pretty elevated for a smaller restaraunt. It’s not omakase style or that grande but it’s amazing for the location! Didn’t have any complaints except wait staff could be a little more tentative. Other than that highly recommend.
