We recently stopped in at Naja Tandoori on a quiet Monday night and expected a run of the mill Indian meal. It was really nice to be surprised with a great ambience, great service, including a long chat with Ash (the owner/proprietor) and some standout vegetable dishes including a fabulous dry spinach/saag and an excellently cooked cauliflower/gobi. The balti and dahl we had were also very good. Overall it is very well worth taking a few steps off the main street in Olney to visit the restaurant.

Located at the end of the alley, right behind the bull hotel in Olney. I was looking for a new restaurant to try and Naga Tandoori did not disappoint. We were able to book a table an hour before arriving, we were greeted with warmth and smiles and even given the option to choose our table. We started off with poppadoms which was accompanied by a selection of sauces, it definitely got our taste buds going. We ordered prawn Puri and onion bhajis for starters and honestly it was the best prawn Puri I’ve had in years. The dish was clean, a beautiful fresh Puri was presented with not a drop of oil in sight and juicy perfectly cooked prawns were tucked inside, my daughter wished she had her own prawn Puri which she didn’t have to share with me. The onion bhajis were deliciously crispy. For mains we ordered the king prawn balti and chicken karahi. The chicken dish definitely got the seal of approval from my daughter as a result I took a hot piece of nan bread and dunked it straight into the gravy and wow what an explosion of flavours. It was balanced perfectly and the chicken was juicy. My king prawn balti was equally as delicious I asked for it to be made spicy and they didn’t disappoint but the best part was the heat didn’t interfere with the flavour of the prawns and nor did it overpower the dish. Right towards the end of our meal the chef came out and checked on each table which I thought was a lovely and it was definitely compliments all round. To finish off our meal we had a delicious ice-cream with almonds and honey in vanilla ice-cream, what can I say you can’t get an ice-cream better than that. It’s a dessert available only at a handful of Indian restaurants, so if you ever get the opportunity to visit Naga Tandoori order one for yourself to end the meal on a high. I will definitely be coming back the service was amazing and so was the food the staff were attentive and super kind. I will be adding Naga onto my top 10 favourite restaurant’s from now on

I’m taking the time to write a review because the food and service was so good.
We arrived in a group with a small well behaved dog, a baby and two people with food allergies. We were guided through what would and wouldn’t be appropriate and the chef made special provision.
All the food tasted freshly made and service remained first class throughout.
The restaurant isn’t in an easy to see location, but it is in a good location for parking and is central and easy to get to.
The prices for what we had were good value, exceptional when you take into account the quality and service.
Quality of food was first class.

5 Star food, service and experience – I can’t thank Ash and his team enough for always making me and family feel welcome. The chef and kitchen staff keep us coming back with amazing food. The front of house team always make my two kids feel welcome if we eat in the restaurant and they remember their names – it is a really friendly atmosphere. If we order a takeaway, there is super easy parking to collect and the team always have it ready in the timescales they promise. Special shout out goes to Ed who served us recently – he did a wonderful job looking after us. Fab place – would highly recommend to everyone
