Second time here recently, after missing it entirely since it opened.
Not for the faint of pocketbook, but they do not disappoint.
Pastries are correctly light and fluffy. The choices are very interesting and not the ordinary which is nice and refreshing for Des Moines.

First visit due to the “Too Good To Go” app. Swooned at the unbelievable yummy bakery smell. I got a large ($5) cappuccino to go with whatever surprise I was picking up. This is what I got for about $7. The small round one was savory, I think pesto, garlic, parm, flaky and yummy. The doughnuts were cinnamon, and ‘plain’ sugar. Not sure about the other two yet. Now I also know they were easy to find and now open on weekends. I might go back even when not using a discount of sorts.

One of my coworkers ordered this for everyone at the office. Eveything was so delicious! The sweet pastries had great flavors and weren’t overly sweet. I will definitely be visiting this place for myself as a treat!

The food was pretty good, although the outside of crème brûlée beignet was not crunchy like I wanted it to be it was syrupy and the croissant was a little hard but still very good taste I did get the hot chocolate and that didn’t have a taste to it but the raspberry beignet and the pistachio beignet was really good and the berry danish was amazing.

My daughter and I are on a quest to find the best donuts in the city. When we arrived everything was presented front and center beautifully. There was a nice variety of pastries and baked breakfast dishes to choose from. We ordered 2 chocolate beignets, 1 creme brulee beignet, and 1 raspberry cheesecake beignet. Everything was absolutely delicious. Before we even got out of the parking lot my daughter was asking to come back so we will definitely be coming back soon.

WOW!!! We are completely blown away by the flawless execution of these pastries by Nadia and her team! The Pistachio Torsade was absolutely divine! We also got the viral cookie croissant which was perfectly chocolatey, just the right balance of sweet and savory, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, flakey, and buttery, all the right things! I will not be able to paint a good enough picture of how amazing everything tasted! You’ll just have to go!
C’était magnifique! Merci, mille fois! Merci beaucoup! Vous avez les meilleurs pâtisseries de cette ville! SANS QUESTION! Je suis hâte de retourner!!!

This is my second time back at Nadia’s and I’ll definitely be coming back. Their pastries are phenomenal. So buttery and flaky. I love supporting small local businesses too. The croissants have great lamination, the pastry cream is smooth, the bread for the ham sandwich was so good. Honestly 10/10 on the pastries we’ve tried. My only small complaint is the coffee takes a while to get, maybe that’s on me because I want to inhale my croissant as soon as I get it and enjoy a coffee with it. Also the coffee can be a bit strong for some.

Based on all the good reviews, I’m wondering if they purposely give all the stale left over, overcooked items to DoorDash customers. As you can see by the pictures, the beignets were overcooked, and every single item made its way to the trashcan. The croissants were all extremely dense and stale, but especially the almond croissant it was the worst of them.
Super disappointed as I was really excited to try it, but everything tasted like it was at least a day or more old. I even tried reheating the quiche in the air fryer, and it was still terrible.
$68 including DD tip.

Went on a late Saturday for brunch with a friend – the staff was unable to pronounce or explain the beautiful pastries which was frustrating. Paid $19 for 2 almond croissants which ended up tasting old and dry when I got them home. Beautiful pastries but waaaaaay overpriced. Would be lovely to have one staff person helping new customers make their selection who actually knows the ingredients and how to pronounce the items beautiful names. Not many people in Des Moines metro are educated in French including myself. I was very disappointed by the serve yourself coffee. A pastry place should have outstanding coffee- and they didn’t even offer stevia! I’m not returning. Loud, chaotic, overly sunny and hot environment inside. Not comfy at all. I couldn’t wait to leave!

Best croissant I’ve had in a while! Super airy, chewy and soft. The beignets are in the traditional donut shape and I can say the same about the taste and texture too. Have to say this is my new favorite place!
