The biryani really gave us a nostalgic hit of our traditional Kerala biryani, in US. Rice is cooked perfectly, Raita was a little sweet, but it’s fine. Everybody in my house really loved the food. The deserve a raise in the salary for sure..lol

I ordered a full tray of Malabar Fried Chicken Biryani for a gathering of about 25 people this past Saturday (11/29) and it was absolutely delicious. The portion was more than enough for our group. We had appetizers which we made at home. I have heard that Nandan Kerala cafe also has good appetizers . We even had leftovers, and a couple of friends were happy to take some Chicken Biryani home.
The owners and staff Eldo, Arjun and Prince were all incredibly courteous and friendly throughout the process. I would definitely order from Nadan Kerala Cafe again. For anyone interested, this is a cloud kitchen, and they do a fantastic job.

Best biryani I’ve ever had! I decided to go with the FISH option, and it was absolutely delicious!! The fish was perfectly cooked, the rice was aromatic and had just the right balance of spices.
The portion size was generous, and everything arrived hot and fresh. I can’t wait to come back and try their other varieties. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Kerala food, flavorful biryani!

We ordered around $164 worth food. Food was extremely delicious. But we felt rice of biriyani and Marta rice were undercooked. Taste and recepie were satisfying. With an extra delivery charge they were kind to deliver at our hotel in Elizabeth NJ. The quality and quantity are good because 2 people ate for 3 meals.

Every dish was full of traditional flavors and tasted just like home. The quality, freshness, and taste were outstanding, and everyone loved the food. We ordered from Nadan Kerala Cafe for an event. The food was authentic and the quality was as good as in Kerala. Malabar biriyani, kappa and fish curry were amazing. It was also very easy to coordinate the order via Whatsapp and the packing was excellent. We will definitely order again.

I’ve ordered takeout from this place twice now. The first time, the order was delivered three hours late. While I think the food itself is pretty good, management took no responsibility for the delay—even after I called ahead to confirm it would arrive within the agreed window, especially since we placed the order five hours in advance.
We decided to give it another try and ordered through Uber this time. The food arrived slightly late again, but what really stood out was the portion size: a $17.99 shrimp dish that came with only six shrimp. That works out to nearly $3 per shrimp, which feels unreasonable.
The food is good, but repeated issues with delivery and value are making it difficult to justify ordering from this place again.

Nadan Kerala Cafe brought me a little but mighty slice of home this Onam season✨
Living in Brooklyn and away from family, I often miss Nadan style cooking and haven’t had an Onam Sadya in a long time.
But when I saw the Onam Sadya preorder at Nadan Kerala Cafe, I knew I was willing to make the journey (subway trains, NJ transit bus, and 20min walk just one way).
The long journey was definitely worth it! Everything was delicious and portioned enough for leftovers. The Avial was my favorite☺️.
The Sadya reminded me of the great love and abundance that comes from the place on earth that has nourished my family for generations. So, I’ll definitely make the journey again next Onam Season and probably a couple of journeys in between! ✨

This was hands down the best chicken varutharacha curry I’ve had in a long time. The gravy was thick, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. It felt like a home-cooked meal from Kerala. Highly recommended!
