Following a friend’s recommendation, I went ahead and ordered a large portion of short ribs for both my girlfriend and me. While the meat was decent, it was really the sesame sauce and garlic that elevated the experience. I might opt for a less expensive cut on my next visit.

Simple style shabu shabu. Can’t go wrong with that. Decent selection of veggies and I chose the beef short rib slices. That was good. Nice rice portion. Regular amount was just right. Ponzu and sesame sauces included. Their sesame sauce was really creamy and good. I normally only prefer ponzu, but this place has nice sesame sauce. You order with their QR code. The waitress also can take your order if you like doing that instead. Food comes out fairly quick, then again I was there first when it opened for dinner service so there weren’t many people at the time. Would come back again.

This is long over-due. I have frequent this place since they opened business but never remembered to post my review. Nabemono is one of the best hot pot place I have experience. The food and variety of the protein plates offer will provide you with plenty of choices, whether you want meat, seafood, or just vegetables. They provide unlimited veggies and soup refills. The prices are a little expensive, so treat yourself here once in a while would be so worth it.

We were able to get a seat quickly when we went there after 8pm on a Saturday evening. It was quick to order on their app through QR code. Each meat dish comes with broth and a side of veggies and carb options (noodles or rice). We got 3 meat plates and 1 mixed seafood plates for 4 people and it was enough. Everything arrived pretty quickly. The quality of meats and seafood were great and fresh. We didn’t mind paying a bit more for the quality.

Nice little shabu shabu restaurant in downtown Alhambra. They were still practicing social distancing, but was able to be seated within 5 minutes. Overall, about 15 tables and about 10 seats at the center bar. Was immediately greeted and placed on the short waitlist.

Great spot for date night, families or a big group! I ordered sukiyaki broth with beef chuck, mixed tempura and spicy edamame. It all tasted very flavorful and I could tell very fresh ingredients. I plan to come back and try the spicy pork bone broth! The fresh ramen noodles were amazing with the sesame sauce!
