Passed this place a couple times, but never thought about giving it a try until today, as the interior looks so dark from outside.
The interior is actually bright and clean.
The restaurant claims that they provide NE Chinese food. We ordered 3 different dishes and they all tasted decent. Will come back to something else in the future.

We visited this restaurant expecting a casual and enjoyable lunch. We ordered a potato chicken stew, but the potatoes tasted sour, like they had been sitting out for too long. We politely brought it up to the server, who was kind and offered to replace the dish.

But then, a man who appeared to be the chef came out from the kitchen holding the plate and shouted at us in front of other customers, saying: “Three people in the kitchen tasted it. There’s nothing wrong. Don’t come back here again.”

We were shocked. We had been calm and respectful the entire time. We weren’t looking for compensation, just giving honest feedback. But instead of a conversation, we were yelled at and told to leave.

After sharing this experience on social media (Little Red Book), I received many comments from others who had similar or even worse experiences here: including reports of poor hygiene, rude staff, and a complete lack of customer service. Apparently, this isn’t a one-time issue.

So here’s my honest advice:
If you’re looking for a restaurant that values its customers and maintains basic cleanliness, do not come here. The food might be okay for some, but the way they treat people? Absolutely not worth it.

There are so many great places to eat in LA. Choose one that respects your presence.

A go-to spot in town for me. Highly recommend the crispy sweet and sour pork – a must-have with a variety of choices. Everything was just right, and we finished every bite – truly delicious!

Good, authentic northeastern region Chinese cuisine. There are so many Chinese restaurants in this area and this is one of the few real deals. They serve traditional and authentic northeastern Chinese cuisine that might not be for everyone but it’s very good if you want a change from the usual Shanghai, Szechuan or Cantonese food.

Damn good for 锅包肉!so crispy, source is authentic! Might be a bit of over sweet, but I like it, generous amount of pork. So good for a group of people!

To be honest, I don’t really like their dishes. We ordered three dishes, and only 京酱肉丝 meets our standard (however, our friend feels another restaurant is better). 干锅肥肠 has only a few 肥肠 and too oil, and 小鸡炖蘑菇 has very little mushroom with bad parts of chicken (like necks and little chicken wings).

Our favorite dishes, especially 锅包肉. Definitely the correct place to try some northern Chinese dishes.
