The pizza is decent, but I would recommend picking up your food rather than having it delivered. The wait time for both orders I’ve made so far have taken about an hour and a half. The pizza has arrived cold. I understand that pizza places can get busy, but don’t advertise a 30-45 minute wait when it is consistently an hour and a half. I only live 10 minutes away, so I can’t understand such a long wait time for a small cheese pie.

This is the best slice shop in Mount Vernon easily. I’ve lived here two years and haven’t been able to find a good spot to order from.
The slices were crispy, the sauce wasn’t sweet, and the proportions of ingredients were perfect.

Tried the chicken parm hero. Not good. The chicken was dry. The cheese was not plentiful and sauce was not good. This did not taste like tomato sauce rather, it was salty with a distinct herb taste that is hard describe. Will never go there again. The pizza that was served was burnt on the crust. It looked unappealing. I don’t know if the people in Mt.Vernon ever had real pizza from NY, but I can tell you this, I have and this doesn’t even come close.

Tried to go to Flaming Grill for Mother’s Day and mom said “too many people”, so we crossed the the street for a Slice at NY Pizza on Sanford Blvd. Mom loved the Linguini with clams and the Penne ala Vodka! We had a salad before the pasta and it was simple and refreshing. Thanks for the great food, excellent portions and a satisfied Italian Grandma!
