Food is good and fairly priced but if you’re waiting for dinner service you should not come hungry.
A few times that I came for dinner with a reservation and menu chosen ahead of time, food was not served till almost an hour after sitting. I usually arrive a time that’s still early for dinner before other customers come in so we would not get delayed but nope 1 hour wait.
We would drool about 30 minutes in and kids would cry for food. First hour is to eat pain rice until side dishes come out.
As for the other tables we would dinner our food before they even get theirs…I wonder what’s going on in the back

Edit: June 2025 this place has gone downhill. Sad to say this place is where my family favorites. We have Christmas dinner here annually, and book up their private rooms. Tell me why this place is always smelling like cigarette smoke.

There is a lady waitress there that is very nice accommodating and overall very hard-working.

We were here recently for dinner, just our immediate family of six. One of the waiters try to upsell try to get us to order more dishes. Then when the bill came, he stated that we didn’t tip enough. What the nerve what the deuce what the hellllllll. How he treat regulars like that. I’m downgrade this from three stars to two stars.

In all fairness, food is neutral. Not the tastiest, but not the worst.

If you’re looking to spend Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, and you happen to get a reservation for this place without weight, you won’t be disappointed, but you won’t be blown away.

Hit or miss depending on who you know there. One manager is professional but he won’t be around to take care of you all the time. One guy in particular was snappy and impatient with your needs as a customer. Our favorite go to dish would be mayo shrimp. Not so much for the shrimp. We’ve had better. But this restaurant is one of the few in Brooklyn that serves it with fried condensed milk nougats. Highly recommended that! FYI.. They have private rooms on the second floor with karaoke.

Party of three on a Friday morning, we were promptly seated upon entry. Carts come through on the regular, the food is great, and the servers are accommodating. The only negative of this place is that they don’t come around and refill water as often as they should. Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to get dim sum.

Approximately 3 years ago we made a reservations for 6:00 but we didn’t get to 45 minutes later. However, yesterday the reservation was for 5pm, we got our seating on time. But the service was too slow. We had placed our orders at approximately 5:30 & the first food didn’t show up until 6:45. The soup is chewy. The twin lobsters something is wrong with the claws. Well you know that the lobster has 2 claws and each claw has 1 big and 1 small. Turn out we got 2 big one and approximately 10 little one. The table next to us got a bigger portion of lobsters then our. Our was a round plate with only 1/2 full. The table next door got a huge long plate and it’s full of lobsters. They got mostly huge claws. The crabs noodles turn out very little, close to none crabs meats. The fish were small. Some of the food was not edible. We had ordered the clam, never came. So we had reorder it and continued to wait for another 1/2 hour. We told them to check on them, they told us that they forgot to put the order in. The only dish that was good was the jumbo shrimp with Walnut and broccoli.

Authentic Cantonese seafood place. Best price for King crab in the neighborhood. The dishes are delicious. This is our go-to place for family dinner. Based on the last visit, most the dishes slightly too sweet, and the sauce for the chicken is too salty.

This is place is pretty much terrible, I have been served raw pork here once, and every time I’ve ordered fish it always came undercooked. On the atmosphere here it is absolutely terrible, on rainy days my families table got wet by a leak in the roof! Terrible place.

For a better experience honestly don’t go on weekends as the wait times will be a bit longer even if you have a reservation. This is the new place that my family goes to for family dinners. As this place has really good Wok Qi so the food that comes out taste really good. It’s really hard to find a place that will give you that type of food.

Let’s talk about MSG, most restaurants will apply a bit of MSG to some of the dishes. I have been to a few places where they use it in a bigger portion and so it will dry out the mouth or just makes you more thirsty. Choi Fook though I rarely need the reason to reach for the tea or water. I can throughly enjoy the food without dying of thirst.

Banquet Food suggestions:
Black Bean sauce with clams(Third pic)
A classic especially if you enjoy seafood. It may be a bit scary but the black bean sauce helps enhance the flavor.

Cantonese Style Fried Chicken
Also another staple, just a fried chicken with no batter so you get a direct crispy skin. I had it a couple of time and the breast meat isn’t too dry but it may miss sometimes.
TIP: if it’s someones birthday, give them the drumstick.

Lamb and Tofu Skin Claypot (first pic)
This may be a bit foreign to most people but this dish is really good IMO. Comes out in a sizzling claypot with the cut up pieces of lamb.

Black bean with steamed Eel (second pic)

ok even for me it’s a bit out there. I occasionally eat it but other family members love this stuff. Honestly worth a try if you are adventurous but i believe the price may put you off. Ask before hand since it’s based on weight and technique.

They serve authentic Cantonese-style cuisine. It was good overall. What you would expect from typical Cantonese restaurants.

The food was delicious.
Those clams with black bean sauce were actually one of the best I’ve tasted thus far.

They gave us a private room with a TV and we can choose music to play, with karaoke subtitles! That’s really cool!!!
