Being on vacation i had a sweet tooth for ice cream after dinner, but hate hitting chain locations like DQ and baskin when I can get those in Michigan anytime of the week.

My wife and I went to the 314 W Main Street, Leesburg FL location today to check out this area of Town. Mystic Ice Cream had a great atmosphere of not being rushed with a family feeling between the customers and the ice cream scooper! I had a cone-bowl of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl and my wife had a FRESHLY made waffle cone of Black Jack Cherry. Both were fantastic. The ice cream shop is decorated with records, album covers and posters. We will be back to try other flavors and sample the ADULT FLAVORS

The atmosphere here was extremely cozy. The staff were friendly and informative. This modern ice cream shop had memorabilia from the 60s and 70s. Must see and enjoy their ice cream for all ages classic and adult flavors.

Stopped by this unexpected treat after finding myself craving ice cream while traveling through Leesburg on my trip back home after a particularly rough day. Everything about this store, including the lone man serving ice cream were an absolute delight. He took time to talk about the store’s history, how the ice cream is made, what makes it unique, the store’s design and how he ended up there. He allowed me to sample a couple of flavors to figure out which was calling my name, and he even found the perfect mixture of two for my shake.
Everything about this shop is just right from the decor to the flavors. If I hadn’t still had a couple of hours left in my drive that evening, I would have definitely indulged in the alcohol-infused adult treats, but the uniquely combined flavors of my “traditional” ice cream ended up being just perfect.
Would definitely make a detour here again and absolutely recommend a visit. Totally understand why they popped up during a pandemic and have been so successful. Way to go, Mystic!

The employees are nice and the atmosphere is enjoyable, however the ice cream is extremely overpriced. $16 for 2 small orders of ice cream (non-alcoholic) and the employee asked us out loud in front of other customers if we wanted to leave a tip and how much, instead of handing us the card machine. We would’ve tipped regardless, but it’s a little unprofessional to ask that question blatantly out loud.
I understand the ice cream is homemade, however $8 for one scoop is more than I’m willing to spend, personally. If the price doesn’t bother you, then I think this shop would provide a great experience.

So good. The Bailey’s ice cream is such a treat. The shop itself is very welcoming with plenty of comfortable seating options and fun things all over the walls to look at. The staff is so nice and personable. Definitely recommend a stop.

Oh. My. Word!!! Do not miss Mystic Ice Cream! So much to love here. Obviously, the ice cream is divine. So delicious that there is no need for toppings. I had chocolate peanut butter. The chunks of peanut butter were ridiculous. I assume other flavors follow suit. The decor is awesome. I could spend a lot of time just looking at memorabilia. Best of all, the people! My server was so helpful. Loved the conversation and learning about Mystic’s story. He respected the owners so much and had so many delightful things to say about them. He loves working for them and it showed! Do not miss Mystic!!
