Ordered a little bit of almost every everything with their Family Meal – brisket, ribs, pulled chicken, pulled pork, sausage, French fries, mac & cheese, and Cole slaw.

Their brisket stood out above the crowd. Moist. Juicy. Tender. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!!!

Enoy!

I was incredibly disappointed. I loved Myron’s at their previous location but this did not measure up. They’ve changed to an order at the counter model, as opposed to sit down. The cashier was not knowledgeable about their menu, or allergens. The meat was not as good a quality as it used to be. And their were weird chunks of other meats and fat and who knows what in their potato salad, which used to be amazing. All of it a let down, combined with the fact that they are still charging sit down prices. Not worth the trip.

You can’t  fix this place. “It is beyond saving and must be allowed to die.”   The service was  pisspoor.

The food is horrendous.

The place was falling in to disrepair.

A lot of the old problems the last store hadn’t been fixed, just patched up.

After months of it closing for “repairs”, i noticed  new signs saying Retail Space Available. #202-375-7500.

I don’t know what might take this restaurant’s place, but I hope it will be a better place than what it was. Maybe a Chick Fill-A  will take over this spot.

Only time will tell.

Thought this place needed an update, because I haven’t seen one yet.

Texan and former BBQ restaurant manager here and I really like the location itself but the ordering process, ticket process, and food prep was very lazy. I ordered the sausage sandwich and got a dried and broken link of sausage about 9″ long in a cold bun; at least the sausage had a great flavor. Extremely lazy prep and presentation. Ordered fries as the side and they were hard yet soggy from the grease they sat in and there was hardly any kind of seasoning. Im chalking it up to only two guys working in a corporate area during lunch (5 orders while we were there) but nothing about this place seemed cohesive. Also be weary of pork allergies. They use foil on a scale that didnt look cleaned or changed. Should be using individual cups per protein to limit cross contamination.

INCREDIBLE FOOD!! My family went there for a snack between a late breakfast and dinner, and decided to split a brisket loaded fry. It was so good we ordered a second halfway through the first. The cornbread came with a compound butter that was complex and flavorful. Couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to go back.

Bbq was just okay, mostly dry and needed the sauce. Brisket was not tender in the least, still very tight and needed more time in the smoker. The banana pudding was a travesty. It was gritty and looked/tasted split. Imagine gray slop with spoiled bananas. The baked beans were delicious and I truly would come back only for them. The chopped salad green choice for frise was wrong, needed something fresh and crunchy that would stand up to the pulled pork and provide texture. All in all, a sadly mid experience.

I thought the BBQ would be better since it appears to be owned by a food critic. To me, BBQ should have a rich smoky flavor, but the brisket that I tried did not. It didn’t taste like it was cooked in a smoker nor could you smell BBQ cooking outside. The brisket was lean and was not dry which was a plus. I rate bbq based on how it tastes without sauce. I never use BBQ sauce but did have to use a sauce to add flavor. I did like the mustard BBQ sauce which had a mild kick to it. I am not a fan of the fixins and suggest they add a side salad to the fixins menu. I believe that those from the local area that haven’t personally used a smoker will have higher ratings, but we were not impressed.

The previous location in Old Town Alexandria was a completely different experience. The food was better, the service was better, and it was a much better experience. I hope they change but if they’re around in 12 months it’s a miracle.

Ribs were extremely dry. Seemed like they were warmed over from days before. French fries were inedible. The soda was ok
