I stopped in during prime breakfast hours, you know, the time when most breakfast places are buzzing. Instead, it was almost empty. At first I thought we’d lucked out and beat the crowd. Turns out, there was no crowd. Mystery solved.
Myra Jean’s has mastered the rare art of charging upscale brunch prices for a diner experience that feels… aspirational at best. If I’m dropping that kind of money on eggs, I expect at least a side of ambiance, not “overpriced roadside pit stop.”
Do yourself a favor and explore literally any other option in town. Some places earn loyal customers. Others make you double-check the receipt and rethink your life choices. Unfortunately, this one falls in the latter category.

What we ordered: buffalo wings, kids grilled cheese, burger, patty melt, hamburger steak, sweet potato tots, fries, and fried okra. ️
Drinks: Sweet tea is VERY sweet but in the best way (like Chick-fil-A)! Pepsi products only but they do sell Coke in cans.
✨Kids✨
Kid meals come with a free scoop of ice cream -any flavor! Coloring books and cup of crayons are available near the high chairs, and the train was a big hit!
Friendly service!
Food was delicious!
This is not the place for people in a rush. This is an old fashioned restaurant where time stands still. Sit back, enjoy the company at your table, and you’ll leave happy.
Supreme pizza was delish also. My only wish is that the crust was a little crispier.
I look forward to trying breakfast there.
Glad the little train still goes around. Love Myra Jean’s
