Man, i was hoping this would be good because i have been wanting ribs for a long time. It wasnt. The fries were homemade and ok. The corn was good. My husband liked the catfish but it was pretty bland to me. The meat didnt have a good flavor at all. The bbq sauce definitely wasnt good. They had 3 “different” kinds on the table but they tasted exactly the same. They had piggy pie on the buffet but i can make it better at home. Hubby said the cobbler was doughy. I wish i could say something more positive about the food. The service was good, as you would expect for a country style dinner. All three of my party said thumbs down. Certainly not worth $17 plus drinks.

Probably the WORST BBQ on the planet. Buffett was COLD. The pulled pork looked like something out of an Alpo can and don’t even get me started on the baked beans…. Disgusting . I literally had to wash my hands because the utensils at the buffet were filthy. I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like.

What happened!? I was born in Muskogee in 1975. I’ve eaten at My Place all my life. It’s been a few years, so we went back for some nostalgia BBQ. My Place has always had sub standard BBQ meats, but the sauce and sides made up for it. Now they serve thick cuts of tough brisket with zero bark or smoke line. It was chewy and even their amazing BBQ couldn’t save it. The place and staff are wonderful but the food has to change or they won’t stay open.

To be honest, it was the worst barbecue food I’ve ever had. Most of the hot sides were made from frozen premade sides. The Mac n cheese was box Mac n cheese. Potato salad was okay. Ribs were smoked, but they must have been made in the morning or yesterday and then refrigerated because they were dry. They were the best thing there, but they weren’t anything to write home about. We asked if they had brisket and they gave us chopped beef sandwich meat that tasted like unseasoned beef jerky. It wasn’t cheap enough to merit the poor quality.

MY Place BBQ has been in Muskogee for over 90 years. There are 2 locations. My Place East and My Place West. The one on the east side has a daily buffet. You can also order right off the menu. The staff at both locations are very attentive. The food is always good and the salad bar is fresh. If you are looking for a good BBQ joint stop in.

I paid $18 for a rib dinner w/Mac n cheese, green beans and a mild link. I don’t know why they would even sell Kraft Mac n cheese because that’s what it is and it’s a NO! The ribs are ok, I don’t know what seasoning is on them, but I could have did without it. Mild sausage link was good.

Service was top notch. Food was plentiful and super delicious. BBQ buffet was great and I will return! We enjoyed the VIP like service… Showed up @ 830 they close at 9 and they were very grateful. The food was fresh and hot and so tasty. I think the team at my place East needs to be commended!
