The Varity of dosa options are a must-try (perfectly crisp!), and the Chai is the perfect way to end the meal. It’s busy for a reason, so make sure to join the waitlist before you arrive. Highly recommend!
If you’re a coffee lover, their filter coffee is a must-try — rich, aromatic, and perfectly made. This is my go-to place for South Indian breakfast; the dishes taste truly homemade and traditional.
I’ve also tried their lunch once — rice with curry and two sides for two people. It was light, comforting, and felt just like home-style food, not heavy or greasy.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic South Indian food in the area!
The highlight? Rose Milk top notch! Sweet, chilled, and perfectly balanced.
They also surprised us with a complimentary Millet Sundal to try healthy, delicious, and a thoughtful touch!
Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re craving homestyle South Indian food in the Bay Area. ️✨
Their dosas, idlis, vadas and utthapams and combos are pretty good and consistent even during rush hours.
At the end of a meal, don’t forget to have their filter coffee.
Pro tips:
1. Sip on the jeera water (cumin infused water) while you wait for your place at the table. Among other benefits, it stimulates digestion.
2. Don’t miss out on the unlimited sambar and chutneys that they bring while you’re enjoying your meal.
The place is also kid friendly and caters to different palettes and offers nice, vegetarian options.
We enjoy their idli-vada and sambar combos, tomato uthappam and various dosas. If you’re craving something sweet, get a rava kesari or simply end your meal with the good ol’ filter coffee.
Service is straightforward: you order at the counter and then go to table you’re assigned. Just a heads-up that if you want to order anything extra, you have to get back in line, which can be a wait since it’s always busy here!
What to order:
• Benne dosa is the best
• Mysore masala dosa is my personal favorite
• Lunch thali is great, especially the curd rice
• Ghee podi thatte idli is also really good
• Filter coffee is excellent, and I also like the rose milk
Parking is plenty, staff is helpful, and they’re quick if you ask for extra chutney and sambar. Tables get cleared frequently too.
Overall: great food, just be ready for a long wait on weekends.
Andhra Kara Benne Masale was perfectly crisp and spicy. Chai was fantastic. Highly recommend coming here despite the crowd.
Clean place, customized to choice, and absolutely yummy — a rare combo these days. It’s these thoughtful touches that keep us coming back.
