This place needs a good cleaning! The walls have chipped paint and you can see lots of reminants of food from previous diners on them. the tables were still dirty from the last customers even though there was only myself and one other person there. The floors are totally filthy and do not appear to be cleaned routinely. It was a very small place so I wouldn’t consider it kid friendly. Normally I would have left because I didn’t trust the lack of cleanliness but I stayed because of the good reviews and I was really craving Mexican food. The hype is true in regards to the food quality. I had the Pollo tacos with added peppers. The chicken was very flavorful and delicious. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars but gave this place 4 strictly due to the friendliness of staff and great food.

The food was really good. I had a torta cubana and my wife had birria tacos. We both very much enjoyed our meals. The cook was very friendly and helpful. The place can be more attractive. Maybe upgrade a few things, such as the restroom and floor? Other than that, I do recommend this place, if you can’t speak Spanish, there’s a translator.

I ordered two tacos with carne asada and also a platillo de tostadas de tingas. I was giving both red and green sauce. The chef was very nice and friendly. I really enjoyed both meals. The tacos came with onion, cilantro, and the normal fixings. The tostadas de tingas were really packed full of chicken. I didn’t expect so much, I was really happy with the amount I got, big avocado slice on top too which was awesome. The environment was clean, they came quickly and picked up my dirty plate and tray from the garbage area. I would recommend getting a quick meal from here!

Best authentic Mexican tacos with all the meat choices. Very reasonably priced. Taco Tuesday is even better $1.50 each. The selection of homemade Mexican treats in the grocery store is awesome as well.

Also, their attached restaurant is a hidden gem. They always have great service with a smile, amazing burritos, and big portions.

I stopped by here on a Taco Tuesday, and came to my absolute surprise these are the most flavorful, authentic tacos in Minneapolis. The asada and grilled chicken tacos, and the cilantro/onion and salsas provided all tasted fresh and tasty, and all for $4.50 for 3 tacos… Please keep this quality and I will keep on coming here, seen they do delivery now too and for sure will plan my next order soon!

We ordered takeout from the restaurant section of this grocery store. We both got carnitas burritos. The portions were excellent and the food was delicious. We did each find a small bone in our burrito, but otherwise everything was perfect.
