BBQ and more! From a simple grilled cheese to cheeseburgers this lil gem has grown over the 13yrs in buisness. All food is fresh, made to order and tastes great! Altho they no longer have doughnuts on the regular they still offer good dessert options. I tried their BBQ plate that included ribs (dry, you add your own sauce, three to pick from in the fall/winter months and 5 on the spring/ summer months) BBQ turkey and brisket all the meats had a light smoke and very tender, I also tried the “loaded” tater tots YUMMMY can be a meal on itself! Soo if you’re passing thru drop by say a Hi to Goldie(the proprietor, she’s always there making sure everything is done right!) Grab sum breakfast,lunch or a dinner it’ll be one of the best meals you’ve had in a while! Disregard the Cash Only sign they jus got their new CC machine sooo most credit is welcome also!

Best English muffin sandwich I’ve had in my entire life and I don’t even like restaurant breakfast foods because they tend to be too heavy for my tastes. Brisket is amazing, ribs are beyond tender, cole slaw is obviously homemade and amazing, beans are great. Seriously the best little hidden gem, worth driving out to if you have the time. Service is great as well and the decor is very playful. Barely noticed it was a restaurant and decided to try it on a whim one morning and absolutely glad I did, it is now my official favorite restaurant.

Good size portions. The Mac n cheese was good. The candies apple BBQ sauce was very tasty. The mild tasted just up from ketchup. The Texas Spitfire (spicy) was more of a mild. The side of Beans were the spicest thing there. Great when mixed into the meats. I got pulled pork and pulled chicken. Both room temperature, could have been hotter. My wife got the sausage, that was very good and heated properly. I would try it again. Everyone has an off day.

Stopped by here for lunch today with two of my customers, ordered the #18 Texas Sampler w/4 sides. This consisted of Smoked Brisket, Sausage, Ribs, Pulled Pork and Chicken. The sides were Coleslaw(amazing!) Mac&Cheese, Tots, and Potato Wedges. The meal also came with Corn Bread too! This place holds it’s own to Slow’s and the Rub Pub as everything we had including the sauces was excellent!
The service provided by Lindsay and the cooking staff was prompt,efficient, and professional. I will be coming back! 🙂

While the service was good, my expectations were let down. I got the salad with pulled chicken and a half pound of brisket. Both of the meats had little to no smoky flavor, and they were not even seasoned. To top it off, their sauces, no matter which one you try, all taste like doctored ketchup. After leaving, I noticed a help wanted sign. I wish the sign on the door read hiring a chef instead of a cook. Whoever Dan is needs a few lessons from someone who knows food because this is a lousy attempt at barbecue.

All their food is good be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their BBQ is excellent and they smoke it themselves and use homemade sauces that are all really good.
The donuts are all homemade and just as good.
The eatery itself is a bit cheap looking, nothing but simple tables and chairs, but it has a good homey feeling to it and the wait staff is very friendly.

The brisket is amazingly tender and flavorful. My S.O. had the smoked ribs that were falling off the bone tender. Prices were great for the quality. Beats Bad Brad’s in quality, flavor, and price. .. just wish they were open longer and on Sunday.

The food was amazing. We ordered a carry out, sliders were fresh and so were the fries. Unfortunately the staff was so offensive we will most likely not return. I asked if I could order one slider, the “head” waitress said “well NO, it only comes as a meal”. While rolling her eyes. So, I ordered the #7 with two sliders. Asked if I could substitute beans for fries. Same waitress says, “it comes with fries, i will have to charge $1.50 extra”. Ok, I took the fries. No problem. As my son and I sat down and waited for the carry out to be ready, she very loudly starts referring to us as rude and not understanding, to the entire restaurant! Another customer came in, and she says oh I am so glad to have a NICE customer come in, SOME customers have no idea that we are tired and have been here since 6am. SOME customers can be so misunderstanding. Once the food was up, she brought our order over and very loudly, condescendingly said THANK YOU, THANKS FOR COMING IN! I was mortified.

This is the best Bar-B-Que I’ve had since I lived in North Carolina. Be sure to try the Brisket. You won’t be disappointed.

Great Food!
Big oldschool smoker outside in the parking lot, so you know you’re getting the good stuff (not just pre-portioned re-heated meals). Pretty sure even their sides are home made (*Their mac and cheese is wonderful. Coleslaw is unique, too).
Cute rural-ish style restaurant atmosphere with nice wait staff, inside.
Price is pretty solid, a bit lower than average.
Only thing I’d wish they’d improve would be their outside.
The building looks a bit old and tired-looking. Parking lot and/or landscaping could use some sprucing-up too. Overall curb-appeal is definitely lacking… Which is sad, because otherwise it’s a nice little gem in the local area.
