I really love going on Sunday’s! Gwen always cooks up something delicious and different. The food is always fresh. Her oxtails/short ribs are amazing. During the week you can always get meatloaf, catfish and porkchop’s. My favorite appetizers are the Soul Rolls. Think egg roll x Southern, filled with yams, greens and momma’s mac with a side of yam sauce- Incredible! This business used to be a run out of a food truck and now they have a brick & mortar. It is really heart warming to see this mother/son duo move into a bigger space. If you want to feel like you’re home, or just miss your Mom’s cooking, def check out My Momma’s House!

I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating a private baby shower at My Momma’s House, and let me just say—Gwen and Chris truly outdid themselves. With only five weeks’ notice and me planning from out of state for 50 guests, they helped bring everything together flawlessly.

We curated the perfect brunch menu—chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon, and fruit cups. And let’s not forget the mimosa bar with a wide variety of fun add-ins! The vibe was straight-up luxury brunch meets down-home comfort.

Originally, my daughter-in-law (the mom-to-be) had cravings that weren’t on the catering menu, and Gwen went above and beyond to help us build a custom menu that honored her needs without sacrificing flavor or quality. It was the perfect balance between treating our guests and honoring the honoree.

Now, I’ll admit—I had to see what the regular menu was about too, so a few days before the event, I popped in to try the catfish, mac & cheese, greens, and yams. Let me tell you… I thought my momma could cook, but this was on a whole other level. The food was beyond excellent—rich, flavorful, comforting, and made with serious love.

The atmosphere was full of good energy, the staff made us feel like family, and Mika the bartender? A whole vibe! I ended up staying an extra 6 hours after the baby shower just to soak it all in.

I was so blown away I asked them to come to Houston to cater my daughter’s wedding. If you didn’t know, My Momma’s House is the best—and if you still don’t know… now you know. Ain’t nobody messing with Momma in the kitchen. Period!

We came here tonight for Thanksgiving. I didn’t know what to expect but this lady can cook! All the staff were so nice and attentive, and the woman who made all the food from scratch was so passionate and you can tell she loves it! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place!

I can’t stop coming back. Every dish I’ve tried has been spectacular, from the short ribs to the oxtails to the meatloaf. The mac and cheese tastes truly homemade, the kind that instantly brings comfort. The drinks are priced just right, making it easy to enjoy a full experience without feeling overcharged. This place consistently delivers, and in my opinion, it’s the best soul food spot in the U.S.

The pictures are no justice to how amazing the food truly is. I’ve been on countless occasions now and Sundays are my favorite. The scenery alone in the evening from My Momma’s House is stunning and sets the atmosphere. Chris and his mom make you feel at home, making sure you get everything you came for. The menu’s vary for the special on that Sunday. I’ve had the bone in steak, lamb chops, meatloaf and chicken wings. All season to perfection ! My favorite was the lamb chops and steak. Both fall off the bone tender and the smoked flavor was mouth watering. Meatloaf also so fire, get there in time sometimes they sellout if that alone tells you how amazing it is!!! With no exaggeration B-E-S-T Mac and cheese I’ve EVER had!! Sorry momma . Tried the scalloped potatoes for the first time this past Sunday. It is not always on the menu, but when it is grab It you won’t be disappointed.

Christmas special was horrible. We knew there was going to be a wait. But when we saw the person serving the food was just running around and not really serving food when they were in buffet style pans, it confused us on the wait. People were returning their numbers and leaving. Should have been a warning to us. They were lucky. No prices were posted. The drinks were not good. Suppose to pay when we picked up food. Imagine our shock when we had to pay $115 for 2 mediocre turkey dinners, 2 cokes and a long Island tea. I asked the girl serving drinks how much the turkey dinner was and she said $45. Later I saw on their Facebook page that it was only $35. We got overcharged. Food was served in to go boxes. Side servings was wrong. No dressing for 4 cups of salad. No greens. Just Mac and cheese and candied yams for both of us. Dessert was also wrong. The food was luke warm. Food tasted good but would have been better served hot. No rolls either. Not worth going to this place. Seems like managing and price gauging is not in their forte! They should hire a manager that knows how to run a restaurant and figure out better pricing. If they can do that then maybe it will do better. By the way, there was a big group then I think left because they had been waiting a long time. People that ordered steaks before us were still waiting when we left after eating.

This was our first time there, and the food was amazing!!! We had the catfish, fried corn, greens, and, of course, mac and cheese. The strawberry cake (I can’t remember what it was called) topped the whole meal off being so moist and soft and soooo good!!! We will definitely be back! The staff was extremely nice!

This place is an absolute VIBE! If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. I stumbled upon this local gem and had the best time! The owners, Chris and his incredible mama, have built something special—going from a food truck to this brick-and-mortar spot in the Boxyard. Killer downtown Tulsa views, music, an electric atmosphere, and food that is ridiculously good.

Now, let’s talk about Mama. She came out to meet me, and—she’s a whole experience. Warm, welcoming, and exactly the kind of energy you want in a place serving up home-cooked goodness. I had their housemade meatloaf (yes, you read that right—MEATLOAF), and it was next-level. Perfectly caramelized sauce, a side of greens packed with flavor from the bacon and mac and cheese sprinkled with diced green onions that just hits different.

It was SO good, I took my leftovers home, and my son nearly lost his mind over that meatloaf. Now I have to bring him back to meet Mama and get another plate!

This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The food is fire, the people are amazing, and the vibe is unmatched. So do yourself a favor: go meet Chris and Mama, get that meatloaf, soak in the tunes, and let them feed your belly AND your soul. You’ll thank me later!

The food tasted fresh, comforting, and full of real flavor. The service was just as good. Everyone was friendly, easygoing, and made us feel welcome right away. Overall, it felt like a place you look forward to coming back to. We’ll definitely be recommending My Momma’s House to friends and family. A solid Tulsa spot worth trying. I can’t believe I’ve lived so close to this place and just found it!

Bro, we went over here on tour of Oklahoma, and boy did they make our last day the most memorable day ever. The food was amazing, but it’s not only the environment, but the food was top notch. I love this place so much. They’ve got games and much more available. I appreciate this location as a person from Dallas. This place definitely has impacted me.
