I decided to come here for breakfast after seeing pictures of the pancakes and they are delicious! The pancakes came with butter and maple syrup. I had the country fried steak & gravy with scrambled eggs and country potatoes. The gravy was delicious with all the right flavors. Normally, I would have a biscuit with gravy but opted for the pancakes instead. Next time I will try a biscuit with gravy. I had Apple juice and black coffee. All the employees are very nice and friendly.

Food is ALWAYS delicious (and recipes are consistent between locations), staff is friendly and helpful, and food was hot and fast out of the kitchen. Love the Senior menu because there are LOTS of options.

Food was great! Service sucked waited for over 7 minutes with an empty drink! Had to wave down someone to get a refill! Excuse was we were busy with less than 10 people in restaurant! I would not have even left a review if they would have just apologized!!!

A good place for breakfast and more. I tried the chicken skillet and it wasn’t greasy like Dennys which looked healthy and fresh, so that was a plus. The portion size was huge and I almost didn’t finish it. They have shower curtain type around the tables for covid purposes so it kinda looks weird sitting surrounded by plastic tarps.

When I’m in Modesto, I eat at My Garden Cafe in Modesto, CA. The food is fantastic, the staff are fabulous. Best part, best breakfast in town. They know how to make gravy and biscuits. I love the owner Lisa. She is a sweetheart. When I come home in August, I’ll be sure to eat ay My Garden Cafe.

The food here is amazing, but unfortunately the same cannot be said about the service, which is why I am rating it three and not five stars. Having a good waiter/waitress makes up half of the experience of a restaurant, and so obviously after waiting thirty minutes to order after she initially took our drinks, I was not very satisfied with my experience. The food was pretty quick to come out compared to other restaurants, and like I said it was extremely good so it was definitely worth the prices they had them for. If it weren’t for the food though, this place would have gotten one star since my waitress had to make multiple trips because she would never stay in place for more than two seconds to hear what I was asking for. On top of all of that, my drink remained empty for the entire time I ate and it was never refilled, and I wasn’t going to ask for more since she never stopped to ask if we needed anything. It’s up to you if you want to take the L just for the food, but I recommend maybe finding new servers who actually seem like they want to be there.

Good food and the service was ok. Staff is friendly. Plenty to chose from on the menu. Had their Chlie Verde omelette. Sauce was great but not much meat. Pancakes are alright.
