This may have been one of the best all around barbecue meals (outside of my family) I have ever had. This is one of those reviews where you really can’t go item to item and describe how absolutley delicious it was. It was all fabulous! I knew it would be great when we went but didn’t expect it to disable me. My Aunt, cousin amd I couldn’t speak. All we could do was chew and say was “umph, umph, umph”. Over and over. Every single thing she served, I would give 5 stars. Like how to you have THE best macaroni and cheese, THE best brisket, THE best whole wings. Chef Shalamar is the truth.

ALABAMA, UNITED STATES (via Eat the World Los Angeles) – The name of the game in Alabama barbecue is smoked pork. While not a highly recognized style in the United States especially compared with Texas, if you have ever been to Lannie’s in Selma for one of their pulled pork sandwiches, you know not to take it lightly. This fact makes the back page Alabama burger really pop off the menu. This behemoth of stacked meat combines an angus beef patty with thick slices of bacon and a pile of that pulled pork. All three meats are pleasantly full of smoke and the addition of the house spicy and slightly sweet sauce is perfect.

On your first visit, especially if stomach space is limited, stick to the smoked pork offerings on the menu like the pork ribs. These plates come with two side dishes of your choice and even the small is entirely too much food for most humans, just like it should be in Alabama or Texas.

Don’t be discouraged because it’s in a strip mall the food is .. as the young people say.. bussin!! The server Miyah was so sweet.. she provided excellent service. Everything she recommended was super . can’t forget the live band. .my only suggestion would be to liven up the decor..

I had a good time. I love the place so much. The food was delicious and brisket chili fries was great there. I give it a four stars. Do I recommend people come yes with family and friends. I had a customer who share me a piece of brisket. It was so good and fresh.

First time here. I was in the area and I decided to try this place. Located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the same complex to it does get busy during lunch hours.

I ordered the 3 meat combo with brisket, pork ribs, chicken with mac and cheese and BBQ baked beans. Portion size was generous but I was really disappointed with the taste of the meats. They were all dry and flavorless, bland. The BBQ sauce was very spicy. If I visit again I’ll probably just order mild/medium. Pecan pie was just okay.

Service was very friendly, warm and welcoming. The restaurant dining area was clean.

As a Texan, I didn’t expect this good of BBQ in California! The place is small and I’m sure it gets packed, but we went in for an early lunch.
The service is so friendly and quick. The place is clean and decorated like a nice Southern cafe. The lady helped walk us through our options and made sure we would get just what we wanted. My friend is a regular but I hadn’t been before. The food came out quickly and it was perfectly hot.
I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. It was the best I’ve had in California and the sauce was perfection! They had a crispy slaw on top of it that wasn’t overwhelming like some places do. The french fries were so tasty, crispy, and well-seasoned. My friend got the ribs and mac and cheese. He loved it. We had their blue lemonade that was also excellent. I have zero complaints about this place. They work hard and put out excellent BBQ. I will definitely be back!

Found this by mistake and glad I did! Great pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and baked beans. Topped it off with their medium barbecue sauce. Delicious!!! Great ambiance and music. Friendly people. Definitely a keeper!!!
