A little bit of this and a little bit of that is what our grandmother used to say in Peru when she was preparing her delicious empanadas. We always wanted to go to her house to eat her treats. She always spoiled us with flavors! We brought her flavors here! So that you can enjoy traditional Peruvian flavors everyday!

Only complaint I would have is that the workers shut off the TVs with what looked like Music Choice after we got in and ordered. If the workers are reading these: “A este estadounidense le gusta el canal de música. (perdón por la mala gramática, uso el traductor de Google)”
The stories from the other posters are a bit confusing… I guess there’s a car thief in the city who really likes empanadas!
I’ve tried so many other places in the northern Virginia area and I’ve always left disappointed. Finally I’ve found this jewel in the heart of Fairfax city. The food gets cooked in front of you right there when you order it. The taste is on point and the size of the portions is very generous. My family had the Jalea and Tallarin Saltado con Carne and we were throughly satisfied with both the delicious food and the friendly service.
The place looks like it just opened. I wish them success and many years more so we can keep coming back for the excellent Peruvian food.
I am Peruvian and it’s hard to find empanadas in NOVA that are really 100% Peruvian style. Specially the pastry dough. This place uses the dough we use in Peru, or the one you find almost anywhere in Lima or the coast.
A beautiful empanada with a bit of sugar powder on top of it served with pieces of lime. Just like in Peru! It was delicious, the papaya smoothie (fyi does not come with milk) was great as well. We finished our empanadas so I only took a photo of the juice left in the glass
I highly recommend the place to stop and grab a snack or a lonche. (tea time).
What needs to change: the atmosphere. Poor decor, needs a bit of coziness.
