Da’Love Woods
To be clear the 3 stats is not because of the food. Both dishes were well seasoned and very tasty.
I took 1 stars because the restaurant was freezing cold. Almost left due to the temperature, but drove 30 minutes to get there. It was similar to eating outdoors on a Portland winter night.
Removed another star because service could use some improvement, in terms of communication in regards to seating yourself, as well as notifying customers about scanning the QR code on the table for the menu. Also, I’d ask and recommend to the owner that if the restaurant expects customers to use the menu on their phones, they should offer free Wi-Fi as a courtesy. We eventually received traditional menus, however the lighting was poor and made it difficult to read the black menu with white lettering. I had to use my phone’s flashlight for my mother to read it. Not convenient at all.
Overall, the servers were very nice girls and diligent in getting condiments ect.
Room temperature, Wi-Fi and lighting and this would be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our realtor recommended My Brother’s Crawfish in Portland, OR, and it was everything she said! We were greeted nicely and sat down in a booth. The atmosphere is comfortable like a mom & pop place in a strip mall. We came during Happy Hour and ordered fried gator (yes, gator), 1/2 dozen oysters, clam chowder, and their specialty, Build Your Own Seafood Boil. Plus my husband ordered rice that he’s gotta have. We were hungry.
The giant boil bowl filled with mussels, clams, and everything but the kitchen sink, came with a small loaf of bread that I devoured as I broke it up and dipped it in the garlicky, buttery, medium-spiced broth. Delicious! Everything was fresh and tasty.
If you are not a pescatarian or seafood lover, there are chicken dishes, but you must try the fried alligator if you don’t plan on visiting New Orleans anytime soon—tastes like chicken!
There’s a kid’s menu, salads, and great sandwiches that I want to try next time as well as the frog legs and soft shell crab. The menu has a lot to offer and it makes you feel like you are in Louisiana! Best tasting Creole and Cajun food this side of the Continental Divide!
And if you don’t want to eat, you can always order a cocktail and watch the game on their TV. But once you smell the aroma of the broth, it’ll make you grab the menu.
Happy Hour dinner for two with two big cups of water cost us less than $70 which is vastly cheaper than a ticket to Louis Armstrong Airport, LA. They also give you plastic gloves if you don’t want fishy fingers.
You gotta eat at My Brother’s Crawfish and no, he’s not my brother. 😉 We thought it was our realtor’s brother when she was talking about it.

I ordered the softshell crab, blackened shrimp, and seasoned fries via doordash.
Everything was delicious. For about $15, you only get one small soft shell crab though, which I think is a ripoff.
The shrimp came with dirty rice which was awesome.

My brother’s catfish is a family-owned small restaurant bar, kind of looks like a dive bar not in a good part of town. The food is amazing. You buy by the pound. I don’t know the prices because my son bought dinner but well worth the money I am sure.

Well im from Louisiana and the season is over for us but heard yall were in season and wanted to eat some crawfish so when crawfish came to mind I went straight to this place called My Brother’s Crawfish. It just happened to open as I was leaving Portland. I was first met with some great hospitality that reminded me of back home. Then, I was basically told the menu and how they do everything so I didn’t even need a menu. I thought of literally everything I’d want at a crayfish boil and out it came. Then on top of what I wanted I got what my heart truly desired, some boudin! The owners decided to treat me to some boudin then allowed me to order a bunch more for my fiance. This place was a 10 out of 10 more than 5 stars and the mud bugs were perfect had huge claws and a ton of meat. I got the spicy garlic with some extra lemon for my crayfish and sweet tea and it ended up being one of my favorite experiences. I hope you get to try it!

If you would like a good seafood boil, this is not the place to go. I got the king crab legs and added andouille sausage , hard boiled eggs, potatoes, and corn. The crab boil is basically over priced seafood sitting in a stainless steel bowl of soup. It’s more like a hot pot , not a seafood boil. The “king crab legs” is the same size of the regular crab legs . Utterly disappointed . Corn was soggy for sitting in that hot soup, hard boil eggs soggy as well. Crab legs over cooked from sitting in that hot soup water. The whole meal lacked flavor. I got a side of corn bread which was okay. First and last time here for certain. Service was not well tonight neither. Over all not a great experience. I let my server know it was my first time here and asked for suggestions and either she doesn’t like it anything on the menu or didn’t have much to suggest. I’m sticking to Bag O Crab, just thought I’d try something new tonight 🙁

Jenny was our server tonight, and she was absolutely amazing! It’s been a long time since we’ve gone out to dinner and received such outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our entire dining experience. The ambiance felt warm and welcoming, she definitely deserves a special recognition for her exceptional work! The seafood and broth were excellent tonight as well!

Out of all the times I’ve been here tonight was the absolute worst service I’ve experienced. I got sat by my normal waitress and then a different waitress is the one serving our table after sitting for over 30 minutes and her taken a tables order who doesn’t even have all the members of their party. She come over and takes our order, nice gal but after the whole order she says I can’t do garlic butter we’re trying to save butter for the day. When asked to explain she says yeah we’re trying to conserve for the night. Not fully understanding she explains again and see the look of confusion on my face. I make adjustments to my order because we’re already seated and this is a normal spot for us. Their foods my favorite and the eggs are a must in any dish but mixing the medium and the garlic butter is a must. We will continue to On my way! Here but the level of service from the staff tonight was not the vibe. Thank goodness they have the normal gal working because honestly she holds it down. From someone who manages team members who do customer service tonight was a disappointment. Also because it was not as busy as I’ve seen it on a Friday night.

The wait was very long for people who ordered more than just the boil and the boil was also a bit of a wait. Hush puppies were hot but our other sides weren’t. If you know you’ve had call outs or have someone training on something that’s a long process please close half the store. Don’t make your servers and customers suffer. We saw people walk out.

I didn’t even get to try the food so I’m not sure if it was even good!
Me and a friend decided to go today (Wednesday 2/25) and we waited about 10 minutes at the door. Once we were seated, we waited about 20 minutes to get our order taken. We then waited 30 minutes for our drink to come. Afterwards we noticed we were sitting for a hour with NO FOOD so I stopped a waitress and asked her how longer do we have to wait. She them proceeded to finally put our order in AFTER we were already waiting for over an hour at this point. We then waited another 30 minutes and we decided to just leave. We got there at 7:15pm and left at 8:52pm with NO FOOD. Horrible service, and the waitress lied and said 10 minutes and we never got our food!
