Original review:
Pizza was spectacular for New England standards, but below average in comparison to NJ/NY pizza. It tasted like a bottom tier pizza from that region. I had to wait 30-40 mins for a pizza. If you are looking for a good pizzeria in New England, you probably won’t find a better pizza anywhere in the region because good pizza doesn’t exist in New England. The dough was a bit dry and crust was crunchy and dark. If you ask for it more on the doughy side, that would make it much more enjoyable. The pizza barely has any flavor. It tastes like greasy burnt homemade bread with flavorless sauce and cheese on it, but people in New England like flavorless things.
It’s all true
Excellent n.y. style pizza, best I’ve ever had
Manny and anya ,we’re super friendly
If you have a sweet tooth, you’re in for a treat—their desserts are just as good as the main menu, with gelato and pastries that are simply irresistible. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or just a quick snack, M&Y Brick Oven Pizzeria hits the spot.
I will be ordering from M&Y for my Pizza Birthday Party this year for sure. Just with they delivered it would make it a whole lot easier.

** update a year later and they do not disappoint. Changed the restaurant around a bit to add an ice cream counter and a front facing counter. Same great food and service.
Only after the pie had its hooks in me did I clock the operating system behind the counter. Yanni and Manny and their fast operating kitchen team keep the place grounded, no snake oil, no TED Talk about dough hydration levels, just fundamentals executed like muscle memory. The counter carries its own charge: Manny lobs a dry line, Hajna, the girl with bangs, fires it back with a grin that lands before he sticks the ending. Not theater, just the kind of lived in voltage that keeps a spot from dissolving into the same beige quick serve purgatory littering every New England rotary. No salvation monologue here. Just this: the place clears a bar most joints above New Haven do not even realize exists. Five stars. Anything less is an evasion of the truth.
