Very crowded today. I ordered the Turkey wing platter and they were down to their last however it was good over white rice. I gave 4 stars because it was very hot inside.

Fond memories of grabbing their takeout, their chicken & fried fish dishes was always on point when I ordered from them. Sadly it’s been a while since they’ve been open & it looks like they’re closed for good. Not sure what happened to their ownership/management as they had a GREAT thing going.

I ordered a fried whiting fish sandwich. It was delicious! And peach cobbler. Also delicious and reasonably priced. The space us a bit cramped. But the service was very good. I appreciate when people greet you when you come in. And the young ladies taking the orders were very polite.

I ordered fish, collard greens, Mac and cheese, peach cobbler for Take out. The food was delicious, large serving I ate half and saved the rest. I’m never disappointed with the food. Staff is courteous.

The gentleman at the front, taking the orders was very nice. There was a tip bucket, obnoxiously placed in the forefront – a tip for what? It’s take-out.
The platters are reasonably priced at $19 but are NOT massive; I’d say sufficient.
They didn’t have fried wings which was disappointing. That was the whole reason for going in. Oxtails are on the menu but just for Sunday. For some reason they have the food all laid out, buffet style, which is an unnecessary opportunity for germs (from customers) and other things to get in. As a result, the food was not hot. It was lukewarm.
I got the Turkey wings, mac&cheese, and greens. The greens and m&c were just ok. The turkey wings tasted like too much chicken bullion or Lipton chicken mix was used as seasoning (not that I’d think that you would need that for turkey wings). They were soft, tender, but not particularly browned and not particularly good.
The Pepsi was just cold enough and the best part of the meal.
They do take credit cards which is nice. Would I go back? No. But as a first-try, it was what you’d expect from most places these days.

I visited this establishment on 8/9/23. I was greeted as soon as I entered the establishment. I ordered the fried whiting, Mac, yams and a side of collards. Every was yummy and you get a hefty platter. I’m planning on coming back on Sunday for the stuffed chicken breast!

The food is tasty. However, have a second choice in mind. Also, call your order in unless you have 15 to 20 minutes to wait. The staff is courteous and will make sure your order is correct. The entrance is still set up for the pandemic . It is a very tight waiting area so be mindful of the weather and park as close as possible. There is plenty of parking available. Take out only.

I recently ordered three platters and wasn’t happy at all! I remember ordering a platter years ago for the first time and the food was absolutely delicious! But honestly the food now isn’t the same quality. I ordered ribs, yams and greens. The ribs weren’t tender/falling off the bone, the yams and greens were ok. I also ordered the jumbo fried wing platter for my daughter with cabbage and Mac & cheese. The fried chicken had feathers on them! The cabbage was bland no flavor at all, and the Mac & cheese wasn’t flavorful or cheesy enough. My boyfriend ordered ribs, Mac & cheese, and yams with potato salad. The potato salad was the best thing out of all of the food we ordered. I ordered Turkey wings about a year ago and they had feathers on them as well. It makes me wonder are you guys cleaning your meats?! I was extremely disappointed with the food prepared for my order. Hopefully you guys pay close attention to removing the feathers/hair from your meats moving forward. It’s an absolute appetite killer!
