Tried My Asian Neighbour for the first time and really enjoyed it.
I ordered the gado gado and it’s honestly one of the best I’ve had. My partner got the special and really liked it too. The corn fritters were crispy and delicious with a nice hint of kaffir lime. The eggplant sambal had great flavour, just slightly oily, which is my only small gripe.
Service was friendly and welcoming. We’d been meaning to try this place for a while and definitely have no regrets. Will be back.

The woku is the best dish I have ever tasted. It is so rich in flavours it is absolutely amazing. The owners and staff are very hospitable, it’s a very welcoming place with really good home made Indonesian food. I give this place a massive 10/10. I tell all my friends and acquaintances to try this place, especially the woku and none of them have been disappointed yet. ITS A MUST TRY

Indonesian cuisine done the Sulawesi way. We tried Sate Babi Bakar, Woku, Iga Sapi Bakar, and Rica Rica—every dish was exceptional. The portions were generous enough to feed four, and the prices were very reasonable.

Nice variety of dishes. A lot of Asian eateries load up on carbs and skim on the meant. Not so at My Asian Neighbour. Servings were pretty good and had decent ingredients. Menu variety is good too. While not many dishes, each of them were quite distinct from one another. There’s not like 3 different types of nasi goreng for example. The variety alone entices me to come back to try other dishes next time. Cosy ambience and well kept. Good service too. Overall nice enough for a relaxing date night kinda place and still affordable.

We love coming here! Authentic food and great service always! Everything is just full of flavour and we just have to go back again and try more dishes. You cab tell that the owners really care about their customers. 5/5 thank you!
Besides from the mains and entrees, their desserts are also really well made esp the pandan pancakes!

Authentic Indonesia that is truly scrumptious and where you know every meal is prepared with true heart and soul. Last night one of the dishes we had was quite unique and we found out it was the main chef and owners own fathers favourite Sulawesi dish and a recipe passed down from her mother. What a treat!
We all loved every dish and our Indonesian guest we brought along, a chef himself, loved every bite and left so full because he thought the food was just so authentic and that was something really hard to find here in Melbourne. If you’re in the area or looking for great Indonesia food- you have to try it.
