It is true that you have to wait quite a long time for food though. We were supposed to have some appetizers and then our mains and after a long wait we asked the waitress. Unfortunately they sent everything all together which was not what we wanted. That is the only downside. The rest is great. The place is nice and our waitress was really sweet. Would for sure recommend.
I came here for dinner and was thoroughly disappointed. I have been visiting Santa Teresa for over 20 years, and we make a point to try every restaurant in town at least once a year. This was, without question, the worst dining experience I have had this year, and it was absolutely not the Muzza I remember.
The service was unacceptable. After we placed our order, our server made every effort to avoid our table. We were ignored until the food arrived. When the meals were delivered, we asked for a side of hot sauce. After asking multiple times and never receiving it, we eventually gave up.
The Milanese with fries was inedible. The fries were soggy, and the milanesa itself was incredibly dry, so dry that it was genuinely difficult to eat. The dish also didn’t come with any sauce to even attempt to salvage it.
We also ordered the Italian sausage and fennel pizza, though I am convinced we were given the wrong pizza. It had a decent crust, but the toppings were extremely sparse. Large portions of the pizza had virtually no sauce or cheese. The sausage was barely present, equivalent to maybe half of one of those tiny breakfast sausages. As for the caramelized onions, they were not caramelized at all, but rather a few scattered green onion sprouts.
We also ordered the arugula salad. It was edible, but given how poor the rest of the meal was, it did not leave much of an impression. There are far better versions available elsewhere in town.
Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience, particularly given Muzza’s past reputation. After speaking with others, it appears that reputation is just that, a thing of the past.
Worth ‘running the gauntlet’ towards the north beach area of Santa Teresa.
Our app took very long to come out, I ordered a meat and cheese board for my boyfriend and I which took about 30 mins to get to the table.
When get got our pizzas, mine wasn’t edible.
I am gluten free (unfortunately) and was excited to eat at a spot that offered that option. However it wasn’t a pizza crust. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I knew that ( or if it said it on the actual menu ). I have no idea what that crust was made out of, but it wasn’t edible. My boyfriend ( not gluten free ) had to fork and knife his pizza because it was so doughy.
The people beside us were also complaining about the lack of service and had to send their food back to be cooked more.
For $130, this is not acceptable.
