This place looks so elegant and inviting.. Almost a bit romantic! This was my first time trying Indian food and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint at all… Yes it’s different but that’s the point. Everything had such good flavors! Now if you don’t like spicy they have this yogurt mix that calms the spiciness, but taste so good on the food… I’d definitely go again.

Great vegan options, and the staff was very friendly while helping describe the menu options to me. The place is clean and organized. The peach smoothie is a great little treat to add to your order.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is genuinely courteous and helpful every time. I have been here several times in the last few years and every time is better than the last. You are allowed to BYOB and they will even supply glasses for you if you choose to do so. Additionally I had a birthday dinner here recently and my mother brought a cake which they allowed to be lit and eaten at the table. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys high quality Indian cuisine with a friendly and caring atmosphere.

Love dining here. The atmosphere is peaceful. Service is pleasant and professional. The food not only looks good but also tastes great. The wine selection is subpar and does not alcoholic beverages. Will definitely return

Muyuri Indian Bistro is one of the best Indian restaurants in the state presently.

Found this little gem by pure chance. Attended an event in Waterbury and one of my family members ordered take out from here. It looked great so made a mental note to come back.

First time here was blown away. Here’s why:

Decor
It is decorated in a tasteful elegant way while still maintaining a casual theme. This immediately puts you at ease and in the right frame to enjoy the experience.

Service
The people here are super nice. It is a small place so when you come in you may not be greeting as the staff might be in the back fetching meals. In cases like that, we usually just come in and sit down and wave to them when they come back.

Prices and Quality
This is fairly priced, perhaps slightly higher than others but well deserved as the quality is much better than most others.

Food
The food is very good. We typically order several dishes as we come in a group. Most of the dishes come out excellent and from time to time one dish may fall short but overall it has always been an outstanding experience.

Lamb Saag
One of the best in Connecticut. Only one Indian restaurant has matched or exceeded this offering and that restaurant is long gone. This is the best Saag in the state.

Veggie Samosa
Tasty, nice flaky crust.

Naan
Oh my …perfectly crispy and soft and chewy at the same time. Excellent!
We get the rosemary, regular, peshwari

Goat Biryani
Delicious – ’nuff said

Salmon Tandoor
Absolutely amazing!
this is a dry dish (no sauce) so we typically get it as a complement to a sauce dish.

Love this place…We drive over 40 minutes to go here any chance we have.

Ordered chicken biryani, chicken lollipop, and raita from here last night via UberEats. Delivery was relatively fast, which was a plus.

The chicken lollipop was unorthodoxly sweet compared to the usual ones I’ve had from Indian restaurants, but it was properly cooked and still tasty. I quiet enjoyed it. The raita was well-seasoned and actually quite good too.

Now for the biryani; boiling chicken and tossing it with steamed rice that seems to be seasoned with nothing more than salt and turmeric doesn’t really count as biryani. It felt like 97% of the ingredients that make up an actual biryani were missing. Honestly, it was an abomination.

This was surprising, especially given the restaurant’s solid reviews—I was expecting at least a decent biryani. I’m hoping that it was a one-time mistake due to it being a takeout order, and not how they usually make it. Still, it’s pretty disappointing when the raita ends up packing more flavor than the “biryani”.

Delicious indian food. Nice atmosphere warm, inviting, perfect for a quiet date night. I ordered the saag with lamb, goat curry and the tandoori chicken. All 3 dish are so flavorful! If you can’t handle food with heat make sure you say mild. I had medium and its perfect for me. Definitely going to be my go to Indian spot. Highly recommend

My husband and I visited this past weekend. I will say the experience was much different than it’s ever been for us. And this is probably our 6th visit. In the past i would have no doubt given it 5 stars. But something is just different. I don’t know if they have new management or a new chef. We ordered the Chicken lollipop and Vegetable samosa as appetizers.
Goat karma and Chicken tikka for our meals
And Chicken garlic naan on the side. My husband said he loved everything. My favorite was the chicken lollipop. I will continue to go there because I love their food and won’t rule them out off of one bad experience. But the customer service was not good, not what I’m use to there. And I’m a big germaphobe and I notice everything. The carafe they serve water in is filthy. I don’t feel comfortable drinking their water. It looks like mold. Another thing, is it would be great if they played some kind of music or at least sell drinks there.. they only have wine. At least become BYOB.

This place is definitely a hidden gem it’s right next to way back burgers . When we walked in it was empty .The atmosphere was very relaxing . Our sever was new and very respectful . She gave us some foods on what to try . Me and my friend were seated very quickly . We got the menu plus the lunch menu. It was a little over whelming for someone just trying Indian food . We didn’t know where to start . While looking at the menu there aren’t any drink options . There was multiple types of naan bread at least 5 . We tried the butter chicken which was amazing . The sauce itself is so flavorful. I will say to me it taste different when you put the bread with the sauce it taste one way and the sauce with rice . Both ways are good . We both gave it a 8.5 out of 10 . We also had the somoa appetizer which was good taste like potato and a mix of something else not sure exactly what . 8 out of 10 as well . However I think that’s for getting 2 for 6 I wish they at least gave 3 . When you add the sauce it’s an 8.5 . We also tried the lolipops which is chicken that looks like a lollipop . This was amazingg we both gave it a 9/10 and when you add green sauce it made it a 9.5 /10 . Overall we would come back again .

Also if have a nut allergy please make sure you read the menu because a lot of things have nuts in it .
