The name Muy Wayne O’s Grill and Cantina immediately caught my eye—how could it not, with “Wayne” right there in the title? (As someone named Wayne), I had to check it out, and I’m so glad we did. This family-owned gem in Panama City Beach delivers spot-on Tex-Mex.
I was intrigued when I saw the offset smokers as we got out of the car. We kicked things off with the Brisket Queso served with fresh, made-to-order tortilla chips. The chips arrived warm, perfectly crisp, while the queso had a rich, smoky depth from the brisket that elevated it way beyond standard queso. Even the leftovers held up hours.
Needing more of that Brisket, I had The Carnivore, warm tortillas generously loaded with tender, smoky brisket.
My wife opted for Carlito’s Burrito, massive, filled with seasoned beef and topped with queso (plus “everything else inside”). It was legitimately the size of her head, huge.
Great Atmosphere, fun decor and the service was warm and friendly. As a small, family-run spot (shoutout to the owners for the personal touch, thanks Lisa), it feels welcoming and authentic—Tex-Mex heaven with heart.
Will definitely go back. Would love to try their breakfast. Maybe next weekend
If you’re in Panama City Beach and want bold flavors, generous portions, and a place that feels like a discovery, make the stop at Muy Wayne O’s. You won’t regret it!

We are from Texas and were looking for something similar to home. This is NOT the place. $60 was insane. I asked for cheese enchiladas and received basically cheese roll ups from Taco Bell, the beans are pinto beans from a can and the rice tasted like packaged rice you put in the microwave. Husband got the top gun burrito and it was mainly beans and had no flavor. He said the meat tasted like it was the microwaved kind you get from the grocery store. For sour cream you get a packet like you would at a fast food joint. We paid $4.00 for a bottle of coke zero. The chips and queso were the best part. If you’re expecting to get free chips and salsa this is NOT the place to go. It’s an embarrassment for their website to say they’re from Texas and know tex mex. I didn’t get a pic of his burrito but it was $27. Wayyyyy over priced for the quality. Oh and don’t expect to see your wait staff again until you get up to walk up to the bar for your check.

My husband and I were on our way back home when we saw Muy Wayne O’s and stopped for lunch. We thought the name was fun and decided to try it out. We are so glad we did! We knew this place was going to be good when we saw the firewood outside, and smelled the food. ! We had the Top Gun burrito which includes beef, brisket, and chicken. The potion was huge-so much that we are taking our leftovers home. The chips are the best I’ve ever had. Fresh out of the oven, they were served hot and seasoned. We put the inside of the burrito over the chips and essentially had nachos. So delicious. The owners are super friendly and deliver great service. Wayne did not disappoint! If you are visiting PCB, make sure to check out Muy Wayne O’s! You won’t leave hungry!

If you’re craving bold flavors and unforgettable comfort food, Muey Wayneo is the spot that delivers with flair. This vibrant Tex-Mex gem blends smoky, spicy, and savory into a menu that feels both familiar and exciting.

The brisket queso is a revelation — creamy, rich, and loaded with tender smoked brisket that melts into every bite. It’s the kind of starter that makes you pause mid-conversation just to savor the moment.

Then there’s the Ellie Mae sandwich, a showstopper in its own right. Imagine layers of perfectly seasoned meat, crisp veggies, and a sauce that ties it all together like a love letter to Southern flavor. It’s hearty, satisfying, and somehow still leaves you wanting one more bite.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with staff who treat you like family and a vibe that invites you to linger. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Muey Wayneo is the kind of place that earns a permanent spot on your favorites list.

Came in Tuesday around 4 PM. Food was amazing we had a carnivore split with a taco salad It was very flavorful and amazing food but the owner and her husband were more concerned about a regular than they was about our table. I think the cook spent more time talking to us than they did. We had great food. And it was a great atmosphere, but We must’ve waited 10 minutes before they seen that we were ready to go They spent so much time with the Tables that look like regulars than they did a new customer. Your food is great, But a regular should get more attention than a newcomer. I promise I tipped you more than that regular did that Was there taking up hours of your time?

I’m a born and raised Texan and have lived in Florida for 16 years. My husband and I saw the sign just randomly driving by and it said Tex Mex. Now let me tell you, we’ve tried just about every Mexican food restaurant between Panama to Destin to Fort Walton Beach and there was never any that had authentic Tex Mex. Some were close but still didn’t hit the mark….that is until we found Muy Wayneo’s! They nailed it and have officially won over this Texan couple! We will definitely be going back! We got the beef nachos and beef tacos and split them into. Just one order of nachos and 2 tacos was plenty of food for 2 people. I’ve never had nachos that didn’t get soggy less than halfway through the plate until now! Every chip down to the last one was still crispy even loaded with beans, beef, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. This place was the perfect find!

We went in at 1330 on a Saturday in August and it was empty. Restaurant was clean and waitress was friendly. Definitely an unabashed Tex-Mex affair. Prices generally hover around the $20-25 range and food was hot and fresh. They brought out some hot, mild, and verde table salsa bottles. The hot and the mild were vinegar based and the verde was very Smokey. The brisket was good but seemed to be mixed with a sweet bbq sauce. Good if that’s your thing. The chips and salsa are an appetizer but very tasty and made to order. Came out hot and fresh. Worth a try if you want Tex-Mex and like Texas sweet bbq and vinegar based hot sauce. Priced in line with other beach restaurants.

The best burrito I’ve ever had. I had the Big Brian Burrito and my husband had the Topgun burrito. They were amazing and the brisket queso was seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten. If you’re in PCB I would highly recommend this place!. And absolutely the nicest people. We will definitely be back.

Been there twice now and the secound time met the owners. Myself and fiancé and your 15mo old daughter have had a great experience there. Witch I have found difficult to do since coming to PCB in June. I have been looking for restaurants to call a regular place to go that comes close to the places in Lee County and Collier County. So far out of 20 or so restaurants tried only a small handful offer the complete experience, good food, good surroundings and great service with reasonable prices we all know is hard to find in PCB. They even made and extra effort to put together a small dish for are little girl. Witch we’ve found MOST restaurants here.
In short it is a awesome place to go for a FARE price and is one of our now go to places!

We have been here once before and I remember I liked it. This time I came with my family. My meal was one of the best I had in PCB. My kid started the night in a terrible mood “i dont want to eat anything here.” I wasn’t really looking forward to the dinner. At the end of the night his attitude was turned around and even he said it was the best he had in PCB. It is hard to get him to say that about anything that isn’t 100% sugar. We loved the relaxed, fun colorful atmosphere. My spicy margarita was great. The Top Gun burrito was $27 but it is huge (my father in law ate half and saved the rest), and had many meats including brisket. It exceeded my expectations, one of the best burritos I have had. I will recommend this place and come back again. Top notch.
