Service 5/5: Our server Kenae had such great energy and was very attentive to us. She made our first experience here very enjoyable!
Drinks 5/5: I got the Fancy Rum & Coke and my girlfriend got the Rum Punch. We enjoyed both and it was one of the best rum and cokes I’ve had in a long time! Very smooth.
Food 4/5: I got the fish and chips and my girlfriend the nachos. We finished everything, my girlfriend loved the nachos, everything was evenly distributed and filling. I enjoyed the fish and chips although, a bit over cooked, and it came as one big piece instead of the typical multiple pieces of fish, but nevertheless it was still good! The batter was light and fries were crisp although I would have enjoyed more seasoning on the fries, they were still what you’d expect.
Overall experience 5/5: I really enjoyed the vibe and taste of everything here. I’d love to see what else the menu has to offer and plan on returning.
Oysters: good, room temperature not cold as I’d like them but they were shocked very well
Rum punch: not the best or worst but not made with Wray & nephew that is a traditional island rum punch.
Mussels where overly spicy, to the point I had to stop eating them. It was was scotch Bonnet peppers added to them (who thought that was a good idea?)
Chicken nachos where good! Full of meat and the chips where so fresh
Chicken Taco was OK, it tasted like the nachos to be honest, same chicken and sauce to me.
Overall I’d return if in the area for sure. The happy hour had some great deals.
If you are looking for a Caribbean Island vibe restaurant this would not be the place. Looking for Island inspired with a twist this is your place!
The team at Mutiny really cares and it shows!
Edit: Still love this place! We enjoyed their patio with our friends and had a great time! Added some photos of the cocktails menu and specials!
The menu is small but if you find something on there you like, this place is well worth the vist
I hope this restaurant can rethink their “brunch-menu only” policy on Sundays. Every other restaurant I’ve visited in the past that offered brunch also had their regular menu to order from. It’s especially needed here due to the absence of any lunch food on the brunch menu. And to not even offer the kids menu at 11:30am on a Sunday is completely ignoring the family demographic. They had some great looking brunch drunk deals if you’re into day-drinking, but beware coming here with kids for Sunday lunch unless they start offering the whole menu.
The patio is DOG FRIENDLY for all my fur baby lovers!!!
After dinner apple strudel was *perfect*. I don’t normally order dessert. But, after a near perfect meal, I had to try it. I was *not* disappointed. Temp of the apple strudel was perfectly hot. The ice cream was just right. A good mix of tangy apple and just right sweetness mixed with the creamy of the ice cream made for the perfect dessert.
My server, Sam, was absolutely engaging and yet sure to give us plenty of time to talk with my friend across the table. He made great recommendations and provided some of the best service I’ve ever had.
*HIGHLY* recommended! 🙂
I’m from St Louis area, 1000 miles away. When I come back to this area next year, I *will* be dining here again!
