Musume absolutely delivered. From the moment we sat down, the experience was dialed in. Food, service, and atmosphere all on point.

Our server Abbi was next level. She was incredibly knowledgeable, walked us through the menu with confidence, and every single recommendation she made hit. Not one miss. You can tell when someone actually understands the food they’re serving, and she elevated the entire night.

The dishes were beautifully presented and packed with flavor, from the perfectly cooked fish and rich sauces to the sushi rolls that were clean, balanced, and fresh. Even the sides and small plates stood out. Attention to detail everywhere.

Musume isn’t just a place you go to eat, it’s an experience. If you’re at The Star and want top-tier Japanese cuisine with elite service, this is the spot. Ask for Abbi and trust the process. We’ll definitely be back.

Gorgeous, sophisticated restaurant and superb service for a special night out. The sea bass, side of honey glazed Brussels sprouts and mixed drinks were amazing, as well as the Musume chocolate cake. Pedro was our waiter and did an excellent job checking on us and making sure we were satisfied with everything. He gave me and my friend a red rose each as we got up to leave. The only small complaint was that it was loud and hard to converse, but I am sure that was due to being a busy Valentines Day evening. I will definitely be returning!

We celebrated a birthday at Musume and had an exceptional evening. We booked the private room for our party of 8, which worked well overall. The space has two tables that seat 6 each, so we arranged our group as two couples per table to make it work.

The service was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable throughout the meal. A highlight of the evening was when the owner personally came by our table to say hello, which was a thoughtful touch.

The food was amazing. Every dish was beautifully plated and tasted incredible. The scallops were perfectly seared, and the sashimi was fresh and expertly prepared. The drinks were also outstanding and complemented our meal perfectly.

The presentation deserves special mention – each course looked like a work of art with elegant plating and attention to detail. The birthday dessert arrived with a sparkler, making the celebration feel extra special.

If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine with excellent service in a private setting, Musume is an excellent choice. Highly recommend for special occasions or any time you want a memorable dining experience.

Note: our party of 8 had automatic gratuity added (which is expected )

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by Aubrey, the lovely host. She acknowledged my birthday and walked us over to our table. The restaurant was beautiful! The atmosphere was magnificent. To the dim lighting, paper lanterns, and beautiful decorations, it was perfect. We were then greeted by our waiter, Andy K. Which to our surprise, my boyfriend’s name is Andy and we both knew we are going to be taken care of really good.

He started off by going over the drinks and giving us some information about the many whiskeys musume has, which was awesome to learn!! Then he suggested the rising sun cocktail to which I order and man.. it was so refreshing. It’s like I took a bite into a fresh, crispy cucumber..

Now the food.. I.. words can’t even explain on how good the food was. He gave us complimentary shared plates, which was so sweet of him because we were first time guests! Then towards the end of the dinner, I received a card that had everyone’s name on it signed and said happy birthday. That had to be one of the most touching things that has ever happen to me. Everyone was so kind, to which is why this review is so long. The desserts were phenomenal with the sparklers as well.

Thank you to everyone who wrote on the card and Thank you Andy K. You made my birthday super special and small touches you did was fantastic.

My husband and I just had such a wonderful dining experience here! The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor—truly some of the best we’ve had. And so was the cocktail they made for my tastebuds, French 75 with Japanese gin! It was very good! On top of that, the service made the evening even more enjoyable. Nathan took great care of us—he was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations that really enhanced our meal. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guests’ experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends!”

From the moment we walked in, we were very impressed with how beautiful the space is. Sat on the patio I love that it’s on the second level away from all the traffic. Everyone we interacted with was super nice. Special shoutout to our waitress who checked on us often and to Danielle for educating us on Japanese whisky. The food was fantastic, our favorites were the Black cod and Robosuta roll.

Thank you, Musume for giving us an incredible dining experience and elevating the dining scene in the area. We need more places like this in Frisco! We will definitely be back!

Musume at The Star should have a star in the Michelin Guide for its food, service and atmosphere! My son and I began tour journey with the Sashimi Lover. This elevated sashimi boat, composed of Akami Tuna, Kagoshima Yellow Hamachi, Hiram Olive Flounder and Kampachi Amberjack, was so fresh it tasted like it was swimming that morning. Absolutely delicious and accompanied by the best house-made soy sauce and wasabi I’ve ever tasted – simple, not too salty, and not overpowering the delicate denizens of the deep.

Next came the 10oz Wagyu Flat Iron Steak from Rosewood Farms in Ennis, TX. Cooked to a perfectly rendered 137° and hand sliced, this succulent cut was served with two amazing sauces, a green peppercorn and a red wine reduction that kicked it over the top. Our side, the incredible hand-cut, twice fried Togarashi French Fries with Sambal Ketchup, made a perfect accompaniment to satisfy even the pickiest FF connoisseur.

Lastly, the hand crafted cocktails were beyond reproach, and the staff were superb. Calvin is the sharpest, most professional bartender I’ve met. All of their specialty craft cocktails are worthy of a taste. Oh, and you’ll want to save room for the decadent chocolate dessert.

Expect a curated, A-crowd experience. Not the same old Marquis, the interior has been upgraded to a sophisticated, chic, yet comfortable feel, and no late night bar dregs or saki bombs to be found. Definitely 10 out of 5 stars!
