We ordered our Thanksgiving pies from the Mustard Seed and they were great!
Pre-ordering over the phone was easy, and picking up the pies the day before Thanksgiving was seamless.
Customer service was friendly and fast!
We got apple lattice, pecan, and triple berry. The flavors were delicious! The crust wasn’t the most tender, but it wasn’t a big deal — we all enjoyed them anyway. A lovely little bakery! Will definitely come back.

I grab a sandwich every Friday from The Mustard Seed and it never disappoints. They have great gluten-free options, which I really appreciate, and everything is always fresh and delicious. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming — it’s become one of my favorite weekly stops. Highly recommend!

This is a very cute and quaint place. We’re stopping from out of town and happen to stop for a little breakfast. I had the Frenchie and it was amazing. My husband had the Plumber’s sandwich and he also said it was delicious!

I’ve tried a couple sandwiches, including breakfast ones which are delicious. Today I bought myself and my employee lunch, I decided to try the Chicken Salad. To be honest, I was reluctant because chicken salad can be hot and miss. I was pleased that not only was it AMAZING, it was hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve had! Highly recommend them for many things, but if you’re a chicken salad sandwich fan; definitely recommend trying theirs!!!

Stopped here on a road trip up to Bellingham. Great breakfast sandwiches! (The jalapeno cheese was flavorful and the bagel had a nice crunch) ( We split the 89er and a muffin). Also – we really appreciated how nice/thoughtful the people who worked here were 🙂 would definitely recommend a stop 🙂

I love this place, it’s become my hometown favorite. First for pastries, then for coffee, and now I love their breakfast sandwich’s. The people who work there are so kind, and I feel comfortable there, even just sitting alone.

Mustard Seed in Stanwood is a hidden gem! I recently tried their salad and it was absolutely amazing. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on. I can’t wait to go back for more! Highly recommend giving it a try. I’ve also attached a photo I took of my delicious salad. Enjoy!

I wanna live here.

Opened last year, MSBC is a real community-oriented bakery. They know what they’re doing: bagels are on point, with a slight chew, raspberry cheesecake Danish is flakey and chewy and addictive — warmed for you or room temperature, straight out of the case. If you get there after the early morning crowd, you’ll miss out BUT they had a package of day-old Everything & garlic bagels half-off that still tasted fresh, a few cinnamon rolls, & of course, that Danish. The young woman behind the counter took our order, answered some questions & wouldn’t hear of a tip. We’ll be back!

How can a breakfast sandwich be so good? 89er is the only one I’ve tried so far and I’m hooked. With their Signature cold brew. Yum!! Quality in each item.

This place used to be one of our local favorites. My family and I have been loyal customers, we’ve always loved the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, a recent visit really left a sour taste in our mouth.

We ordered breakfast sandwiches and, as we’ve done in the past, asked for certain toppings on the side. Last time, this request was totally fine—even after we were told the shop doesn’t customize breakfast sandwiches anymore. The workaround was simply placing items on the side, which seemed like a fair and reasonable compromise.

This time, however, the owner personally delivered our food and curtly told us, “Just so you know, we don’t customize our breakfast sandwiches.” I replied that there’s been inconsistency in the policy because I’ve ordered this way before and our sandwiches were, in fact, just served with those same customizations by the owner. Her response: “Yeah, I’m the owner and it’s a no,” and walked away without any further explanation and lacking any appreciation of our business…

What made this even worse was that I had a friend visiting from out of town—someone I had raved about this place to—and it was embarrassing to be treated so dismissively in front of them. It’s never a good feeling to bring someone somewhere you’ve hyped up, only to have them experience the opposite.

It was totally unpleasant and honestly bizarre to be treated that way. Rather than addressing what appears to be an internal communication issue with her team, the owner chose to confront and blame a loyal customer. Disappointing to say the least.

I hope this feedback encourages more consistent communication and a little more kindness in future interactions. And we will be bringing our business else where locally where we are treated kindly and appreciated.
