We recently enjoyed an authentic Bengali lunch at Mustard Garden and couldn’t be happier with the food! We had ordered 1 Veg thali & 2 Mutton Thalis and everything was delicious! The mutton was beyond delicious… and the curries in the veg platter (jhinge aloo posto, aloo phulkopir dalna & dhokar dalna) were simple, homely and not too rich but tasty! Just the way we like it… the spice level was mild enough to cater to a child’s palette. The chena poda was good for dessert and loved the mild sweet taste! Also, must mention Tania’s friendly personality and warm hospitality. Definitely look forward to returning..

This is a truly fabulous restaurant. I haven’t tasted something this authentic in years, despite traveling extensively across the US and Canada. Every item we ordered felt freshly made from scratch and was bursting with flavor.
We started with Mughlai Porota and Koraisutir Kochuri—both were outstanding. They were so good that we had to go back again to place a to-go order for the next day. In fact, we took a 45-minute detour while driving back to Detroit because we knew we wouldn’t find this kind of taste anywhere else.
For our second round, we ordered Tangra-style Chowmein, Chilli Chicken, and Chicken Biryani. Every single dish transported us straight back to our childhood days growing up in South Kolkata—that unmistakable street-style comfort, done perfectly.
If you’re craving real, soulful Bengali and Kolkata-style food, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommended even for any Indian food as well ..

Tried the vegetarian thali at Mustard Garden and had a great experience! The aloo posto, sukhto, basundi pulao, jhuri aloo bhaja, and moong daal were all delicious and full of authentic flavours. It was my first time trying Bengali food in Canada, and I was pleasantly surprised.
The service was excellent– special thanks to Sonu and Sandeep who were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. As a sweet gesture, they even offered us free Kaju Katli to try at the end of our meal.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to explore Bengali cuisine in a cozy and friendly setting!

We drove in from the Durham region today to enjoy a Bengali lunch at Mustard Garden, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations! We ordered one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian buffet, and everything was delicious with a great variety on both sides. The mutton curry paired with basanti pulao and freshly served hot pooris was pure heaven. The only slight letdown was the sweets, which could have been a bit better.
A special shoutout to Tania for her friendly personality and warm hospitality, it truly made our visit even more enjoyable. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back!

Great Bengali food, the service is also top notch. We tried the Chicken Dakbanglow, Aloo Murgir Jhool, Lebu pata daal and Alu jhuri. All of them tasted great— especially the daal is highly recommended. Tania was a great host and very helpful with recommendations and service. Would recommend this restaurant.

We celebrated our baby’s first birthday here last weekend, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. From the food to the ambiance, every detail was flawlessly handled.
The dinner buffet offered an impressive spread of flavorful appetizers and a rich variety of mains — the mutton curry, in particular, was an absolute standout! And to top it all off, their chai was simply delicious — the perfect cozy finish to a wonderful meal.
A special shoutout to Prabhu and his incredible team for going above and beyond to make our celebration so memorable. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality.

We recently hosted an event where Bengali food was served, and Mustard Garden handled the catering beautifully.
The food was excellent with generous portions, and everything arrived fresh and on time.
Our event had specific schedule requirements, and the team was extremely accommodating and organized in making sure everything ran smoothly.
What really stood out was the service. Yousuf and Disha were outstanding. Calm, efficient, very friendly, they made the entire experience stress-free. Prabhu also went out of his way to ensure the wrap-up was handled properly and that nothing was left to chance.
When you are organizing an event for the first time, having a team that truly has your back makes all the difference. Mustard Garden delivered on every front. Highly recommended for both the food and the people behind it.

Had a pleasant dining experience overall. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, and both servers( Sonu saini , sandeep Saini ) were attentive and friendly throughout the meal, making sure our needs were met. The food was average — not exceptional, but nicely presented and served promptly. Appreciated the great service and hospitality.
