NOTE: There was a vehicle parked at this location both times I went. Very disturbing … S4T4N is the vanity plate.
The hot lobster roll was one of the best I’ve had. The chives worked really well. The crab mini roll was also excellent.
The stew and fries were slightly underseasoned and it wasn’t that easy to fix this with the salt provided. The fries were also on the warm rather than hot end of the spectrum. I wonder if a conventional fries rather than the skinny fries being served at present may hold their heat better.
Having said this, the meal as a whole was still exceptionally good.
The lobster meat is sublimely tender and melts in your mouth like high grade wagyu. It’s so very clear that the lobsters are handled with love and care from catch to the kitchen. Lobster are fresh caught by the owner, you might see her in the parking lot dropping off a fresh batch!
Outside seating is dog friendly! Drinks are solid. The staff is incredibly friendly.
First Time (take out): got the Must Be Nice Lobster Roll to go, it’s simple and pure lobster roll goodness. The roll travels well if you’re planning to picnic.
Second Time (sit down lunch): got the Sadie’s Saucy Lobster Roll, Crab Roll, and Lobster Chowder. The saucy roll has the perfect amount of sauce and spice, it’s now my new favorite way to have a lobster roll. The Crab Roll is stacked, it is literally a mountain. The Lobster Chowder is rich in taste and full of chunks of tender lobster meat, should have gotten a bowl.
Third Time (sit down dinner): got another Must Be Nice Lobster Roll, seriously cannot get enough. Do not sleep on the Lobster Quesadilla, it will open up to you up to a whole new world of cheesey lobster. I wish I had more time, I would have gotten the Lobster Grilled Cheese.
If you come for the lobster roll, it’s okay. I got the flatlander, lobster roll in butter, with a side of fries. Part of my roll was dried out, and 4oz of meat. The meat was good, cooked well. Hubby ordered 2 hot dogs (he’s not a lobster lover), and the dogs should be cooked a bit longer. Our canned soda we ordered never came, and had to get them taken off the bill.
The atmosphere has a few lovely pieces of art work, regular seating, easy menu.
Overall review probably won’t go back.
If the weather is nice, by all means, dine at one of their amazing outdoor tables. The table tops are made from a cross cut section of a tree.
If you are looking for a delicious deep plate of fellowship with friends, then you can fully expect this place to have the right ingredients to make this happen.
Thank you guys for a delightful lunch.
