My first time coming for my 20th birthday was awesome. Was recommended by my mother’s physical therapist who previously came here with his kids. Highly recommend you make a reservation on days/times they’re busy or else you’ll be waiting a loooong time. Upon arrival the waiting room was packed and lots of people were outside, so make that reservation. Food was great. Ate lots of hand rolls, which are not the same as regular sushi rolls, and I love the wide variety. Highly recommend you try their fried dumplings, cheese fries, and garlic shrimp. Loved how cheesy the cheese fries were. Not sure what sauce they put on the fries but it tastes like yum yum sauce. You can get the sauce removed but it tastes better with than without. Not much of a meat eater, besides chicken, but their garlic pork belly was my favorite . If you’re a seaweed lover then you will love their seaweed salad. Will definitely eat here again .

The best Korean BBQ I’ve been to. It hits all the marks and I’m extremely hard to impress. I didn’t expect unlimited sushi as well for only $40 per cover. Very affordable.

They had 4.3 stars when they opened so I assumed they were below average.

Man I was shocked for it to be the best Korean BBQ I’ve been to. The service was great, as were the sauces they give you. The red one is amazing, trust me. I also enjoyed that they don’t over-salt the meat to keep you from eating more.

10/10 would 100% go again.

We stopped into Must Be Cow in Citrus Heights for lunch, and let me just say — this place isn’t just good, it’s new restaurant crush level. Korean BBQ and sushi, all you can eat? Yes, please, and thank you.

Every single dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and so flavorful my children paused their usual lunchtime chaos and simply said, “Mom… this place is goated.” If you have teenagers, you know that is the highest honor one can bestow (basically Michelin stars for Gen Z).

The portions were generous without being overwhelming, the meats were perfectly marinated, and the sushi tasted like someone actually cares about fish quality — which, honestly, is all I ever ask from life.

Service was friendly, timing was spot on, and for a newly opened spot, they’re already running smoother than most long-established restaurants. Clean, bright, and modern atmosphere without feeling pretentious — just a place you actually want to linger and keep grilling.

The service deserves its own applause. Andy — I believe manager or owner — was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. And Kyle, our server, was wonderful. You could tell he’s new and learning, but he was attentive, kind, and truly cared about getting every order right. That sincerity is rare and appreciated.

It’s rare to find an all-you-can-eat restaurant that focuses on quality over quantity, but Must Be Cow does exactly that. We’re already planning our return trip (the kids requested it before we even got to the car).

If you’re in Citrus Heights and hungry, skip the debate and head straight here. Five stars, family approved, officially GOATED.

If you crave sushi and kbbq at the same time, this is the place. The sad part is they don’t have rice paper. However, their sashimi is very good. The beef belly is quite too much fat, and brisket is dry, but the American wyagu is great and it’s unlimited. Reasonable price

We dined during the soft opening. The silver menu was the way to go. The ingredients were fresh, high quality, and delicious.

The servers, though still getting used to the extensive menu, were friendly and attentive.

This is a small detail, but I was very happy to find that the raw shrimp was already peeled, making it so much easier to eat once cooked. I’ve been to other Korean BBQ’s where they don’t peel them.

Please give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Nice facade and interior. I went with the Silver smaller menu to give it my first try since Gold is $40 and a tad pricey so come hungry. Many meat choices for BBQ. Not a large sushi menu but the eel was delicious, the California roll was ok, not a reorder for me.Update, second trip Gold menu the eel and all rolls were oversauced. . Its sll i could taste. Loved the little sides in mini bowls set at the table. Radish, kimchi, pickles etc. Beef bulgogi was good but a tad too sweet for me. Beef brisket good. Spicy chicken super bland. Plain Chicken bland. Almost everything bland. Nice canister of cold water. Attentive waitresses 1st time, 2nd time a fellow practically threw our orders on tbe table . Appetizers good with the fried chicken wings divinely crispy but I’d choose the less sweet option since the sweet spicy was over the top sweet. Nope, both are too sweet. Nothing in the restaurant is actually spicy. Tempura was good and they allow you to order just shrimp or just veggies. Easier to try a variety of the meats with more than one person, they should offer half orders. The sushi, actually a hand roll, comes in one piece on a taco tray, open style with a square of dried seaweed… in other words, not rolled. Atmosphere note: Someone needs to check and clean the parking lot of trash daily. If you call it spicy, make it spicy. I’d prefer some Asian music as well. A cup of tea should be included, not extra, at these pricepoints. The decor is modern, cute and inviting. Probably won’t bother to return as I’ve had better both sushi and Korean bbq. Maybe they’re trying to do too much? Disappointing after waiting so long for them to open.

Food is good, but the place is new and there’s a lot of disarray in the kitchen. At one point we were sitting there waiting for 20 minutes trying to order another around and another time we were getting 2-3 of every item we ordered earlier. They’ll hopefully get the kinks out in the upcoming months.

While our service wasn’t bad, it definitely looked like they needed more help as we frequently got incorrect items. They frequently also missed items simply because they had too many tables.

Definitely go with the gold option if you do come here; the sushi is very tasty and fresh and the Korean bbq items are very well seasoned and marinated.

There are also limits to what you can order like a maximum of 8 pieces of sashimi per table per order seemed very stingy.

I would definitely eat here again but probably on a slower day other than Saturday after 5 pm to fully experience the menu.

This is such a fun place to eat! I’ve been a couple of times and was greeted by the nicest hosts. Bella, Bre and Tahoe. Both visits have been so enjoyable, I wish I had gotten my server’s names but everyone did such a great job bringing out the food as we ordered it and clearing our dishes when we were done. The restaurant was very clean and the food was so yummy. This is my first experience with this kind of dining and I absolutely enjoyed myself.

This was our first time visiting this location and it was such a treat!! My family is comprised of a vegan (me), a chicken and fish eater (husband), a cautious “picky” eater (5 y/o), and a baby. The staff were so friendly and the vibes were great. I loved that the tables were big enough to accommodate our group, which included a car seat carrier. Knowing my dietary restrictions, the server was able to let me know what accommodations could be made and what to avoid. They were able to make me an avocado & cucumber hand roll, and the sweet potato hand roll was delicious. My spice-loving husband enjoyed the spicy chicken and mango spice soju shot. However, the major endorsement comes from my 5 year old, who is not normally an adventurous eater. She devoured all of the garlic chicken and zucchini we put on the hot plate. She gave it two thumbs up and said it was her favorite to go. So I guess we’ll be coming back.
