After spending a few days in London eating at restaurants that were pricey and not very impressive, our first meal in Edinburgh was a wonderful surprise!
We ordered half a dozen oysters, two half pots of mussels （one with white wine and cream, and the other with smoked apple cheese），plus a vegetable pasta and a soft-shell crab.
Both mussel pots were delicious, though the smoked apple cheese one was a bit rich for my taste (but the kids loved it!). We also ordered some bread to soak up the sauce — highly recommended! The pasta was simple but surprisingly tasty, and the soft-shell crab was another highlight — crispy on the outside and tender inside.
The Asian waitress who served us that evening was fantastic — very friendly, gave great recommendations, and provided excellent service.
Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth recommending!

A great casual seafood bistro in the heart of New Town with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to enjoy great food without any fuss.
The fresh mussels were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and clearly high quality. They also offer a lunch menu with smaller, quick dishes, which is perfect if you’re short on time. Friendly service and a laid-back vibe made the whole experience even better.

Excellent seafood right in the heart of Edinburgh. The mussels were incredibly fresh and tender, and the oysters were just as pristine. We also shared the seafood platter, which was very generous and included plenty of mussels along with grilled sea bass, scallops, and shrimps. Everything was beautifully prepared.
Staff was extremely friendly. They work hard too as you can tell. Highly recommend.

Good lunch place! Do not expect anything sophisticated, the ambiance is very simple. Quite busy however we found the table for 3. The food came quite fast. The seafood mix was delicious, salmon was good too. We tried squid as entree, it was ok.

Got the seafood platter (right) and the mussel shallot (left). Best of best Im telling you!!! Ive been eating boiled seafoods from the bay area to queens (US) to UK and this is a die for. The soup of the seafood platter was too good to wasted so I ordered a plain pasta (off menu) and its the best decision of my life. Great services, friendly staffs, clean, and lovely atmosphere. Definitely will comes back.

Great value lunch deals up to 2.30pm – visit and grab a hearty lunch of mussels with white wine and cream, or crab linguine for non vegans. Food 8/10, service efficient and prompt 8/10. We did lunch deals plus a soft shell crab salad special. Delicious !

Really impressed with the quality of the seafood—it was excellent. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn’t great considering the high prices and the fact that the kids’ menu is extremely limited. It would be nice to see a few more child-friendly options to make it a better experience for families.

Fresh oysters, fresh mussels and I like that it’s very clean. My favorite is the creamy sauce with shallots. Always love to go here when I am in Edinburgh. Yum yum!

Tried oysters and mussels here and honestly, some of the best mussels I’ve ever had ; perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Everything tasted fresh and spot on.
