What a gem. The place fills up when the door opens, so get there early if you want the first round of tables. The drinks were cold. The walleye was generous and the price was fair. Homemade salad dressing is a bonus. I’d guess the coleslaw was homemade as well. We had great service.

In the words of Alabama, “Just off the beaten path”, is a place called the Muskie Lounge. It’s worth finding! This isn’t a normal chain. It’s a local place, right on the lake, and is very neat. Service was awesome. The view was awesome. As for the fried Walleye, amazing! Perfectly fried! And the American fries, those were great too! I will definitely stop again!

I had the $14 walleye special. Lightly breaded. Baked potato and coleslaw. Delicious. Great service. Clean establishment. Afterwards we enjoyed drinks on their patio with the view of Clear Lake. A fabulous evening.

Really fantastic place right on the lake. It is a very small dining room and very busy. But, there’s a great patio with a cash bar where you can wait for your table. Service was great! Atmosphere is perfect. Food was perfectly cooked. I do wish that there was more seasoning on the food, but I understand that this is normal for this part of the country.

Opening night 5/15/24. It was full all evening and still the food and service was great! New owner (I think the daughter of original owners) stopped at each table to welcome us and ask about food and service. Nice of her to do so.
Two of us had the walleye special perfectly fried in a light, crispy batter with coleslaw and baked potato. The other two in my party had burgers with fries and onion rings that also looked delicious.
Margaritas are still served with hazelnuts.
I will return often.

I had shrimp and my wife had the walleye special. The fish was excellent but I’ve had better shrimp.
She had the fried potatoes and had no complaints, something different no offered in many places. I had hash browns and again I’ve better.
The atmosphere is very quaint.
It is small and looks over the lake.
The parking is beside the street and limited.
Overall we’ll go back again, I’ll get the fish.

Definitely get there when it opens or before! We got there half an hour early and sat at the outside bar. After going in it filled up so fast, we had been there long enough to get drinks and appetizers and there was already a 45 minute wait to sit inside. They also have tables on the deck right on the water. It’s a bit rough out there when it’s windy at all though, and usually a little longer wait. Food was amazing, service was good too, they were going non-stop though. They also ask that everyone eats and clears the table at least right away so that other people can get in to eat.
